Item level has absolutely nothing to do with the damage a weapon does. Its the higher base weapon damage and the extra of the main stat that those i90 have makes em good, not the "ilvl" itself

if the item level does not affect the items performance and is a mere reflection. then ONLY thing left that could have caused such a drastic increase to healing in my test would be the item quality going form green to blue.

cause if you look at Cleric's Robes.

you can see the the stats just on that one item is much much greater then that the stat difference between Madman's Whispering Rod and Ifrit's Cane. and when i take off the Robes while wearing Cane my heals did around 320HP as opposed to 340HP.

and if this is the case... then the new weapons i do not think will be worth it. though it may worth it or not depending on the person and how they play or whatever i guess. cause they have different stats.

    I think your abit confused.
Madman whispering rod itself has a lot less base dmg than the ifrit cane itself.your not taking that into account

Item "color" and i lvl have absolutely nothing to do with how good your damage or healing yo do.its the total of the stats of your equipment that affect healing ((mind, det)) and the base weapon damage of the weapon your wearing.Base weapon damage in this game is the biggest boost, the number of "raw" stats required to equate to lets say,4 weapon damage its quite a chunk.
Its all math and number in the end,and the color of the item and the ilvl per se has absolutely nothing to do with it,its that higher ilvl "usually" has higer amounts of stats/damage
