Items Database Updated! - Are the new weapons worth it?

Except the variety is just an illusion in most cases. Since weapons are only separated by what stats are on them the ones with the most valuable stats are always better. That's why Break Blade is trash.

In most cases, yes, that is true. But if you have a DPS WAR or WHM then hopefully the weapons get to the point where they would choose something different that boosts their damage over what a tank WAR would have. (Yes, I know most of you whine that you cant have these jobs do different role, but we play them just fine)

BRD bow is obviously amazing. However, I'm not sure I could deal with the loss of accuracy. I'll have to play around with gear sets, but it's potentially better than even allagan bow.

Use the new bow for content that doesn't require a lot of accuracy. ^_^
I like a lot of variety the new items are adding.

Anyone seeing any Garuda EX rewards? I saw rewards for Ifrit, Titan and Ultima but no Garuda.

Titan EX drops ilvl 90 Earrings, Garuda EX drop ilvl 90 Rings and Ifrit EX drops ilvl 90 Wrists.

The differences are cosmetic, even in tanking.

If you fully fit a tank to i90 they might not have the cosmetic tank of a Vit based 70 but if you observe the damage they take the i90 will take much less damage. This was supposed to be the balance between Marauder and Pali. A Parry Marauder/ Warrior in 90 won't get the dps. It doesn't work in HM modes because those boss fights are 110 and even an i90 fit can't mitigate with parry when the boss is 20 levels above him. It's still a matter of creating BiS level gear based characters.
