What he meant was that with Defiance giving you standard 20% and then you add Convalescence or Mantra for even bigger heals. Because you know, War have access to both. That is actually pretty sweet. On my SCH I cannot do 3k heals like WHM can. Maybe now, it will be easier teaming up with MNK and WAR.

I think people understood what he was trying to say. It's just that both the figures and the calculations he used were wrong and he was ignoring some skills in PLDs arsenal when making a comparison between the two tanks. Also, mantra isn't worth using on a MRD. 5% healing on a 2min (?) cooldown isn't worth it compared to other MNK skills, (IR or SW).

i apologise if i got it wrong, but Defiance dosnt passively buff either mantra or convalescense. i mean yes defiance gives a +20% heals but conavalescense still does the same with or without defiance so i dont really see how that buffs it. and well mantra still wont go into my hotbar since only +5% heals isnt really worth it.

Holmgang: i see this new version of the skill more as a lifesaver if you know that the next mountainbuster or something will one-shot you, then its a skill that lets you survive aswell as giving the healers those 6 more second to save your ass. so if your still at 1 hp when the skill ends then your done for any way.

also im kinda scared about the increased enmity. im afraid that its gonna be too easy to hold aggro. i didnt mind the fact that i might have to work for my aggro and that the Dps maybe had to wait 1 sec before they blasted away. i like that Dps has to actually look at the enmity bar.

The edit is also still misleading too. You're still suggesting buffs to convalescence and mantra, which don't exist. The buff is to defiance, (which strangely doesn't have it's own section in your post and is just mentioned under those two categories).

While this does happen, the posts are very much on topic as to what you were saying. You never actually made a new point or asked a question, so all people can reply with is critiques of what you wrote.

This Tread got hot quick . With regard to Convalescene and Matra, I forgot to account PLD Shield oath so Yes, you guys are right Convalescence is still better with PLD. But regardless, The Buff to Defiance passively buffed Convalescene and Matra.
