again, I wasn't being serious. and again, I actually played version 1.0 almost until the 'exodus', so in reality I played it much much longer than most people with legacy status who admittedly ONLY paid the last three months and ONLY to get the headstart for ARR.

I actually really, really enjoyed my time in 1.0

It's more whining from new players and they will saying into the world that this is unfair because many v1.0 players can buy house right away from their saving. Meanwhile they also will spread words something like 'do not play this game, it's for v1.0 players'.

Legacy players got discount subs forever but new players have advantage of easy leveling, easy relic so they can catch up our hardwork from 2-3 years 1.0 with 2-3 month in a Realm Reborn. Yoshi intending to make everyone enjoy
in the same scale from his PoV standard of fun. With raising price of housing on legacy worlds, SE try to rebalance what is not balanced before.

and this is not true. not all V1 players are rich. when does new players will put that in their mind? + we got cut of to 10% of what we used to have. so when i played in V1 i had 5M i start ARR with 500k. call it a big saving?

When i was still on excalibur i sold many 2 stars craftable gears from 1.5 mils - 4 mils in early weeks since the game launch until i moved server to Masamune, i still can sold 3.5 millions.... I don't think they are not rich. And also my friend *alone* from Hyperion made from 2 millions into 122 millions in less than two months.

First off i never played 1.0(just thought i would take that out of the way).
That being said, it really isn't fair to these players(which i dont doubt a lot of which were not hoarding gil through 1.0) to be punished this harshly for supporting the game when almost no one else did.

But i guess it goes as a kind of response to all the spread hate some parts of the community seem to have toward these players that again supported the game you're playing when no one else did.

I hope they reconsider your situation(people on lower tier housing prices, below 4, don't really have much to complain about) and the casual people on legacy(or new players which also shouldn't be punished) get their situation fixed .

not that it's any of your business, but I have the 1.0 CE (and the ARR CE, not that it matters)
I was in the 1.0 beta so I knew I what I was getting into. I paid a subscription until april/may 2012. I didn't pay a subscription during the last three months because I had other obligations.

i don't blame anyone that didn't stick through the game from release until it shut down. i did because i liked the game. some parts i liked more on release and some parts i enjoyed much more right before it shut down. there's even a very few things i like now more than at anytime during 1.0.

there are a LOT of legacy players who ONLY paid the 45 dollar so they could get legacy status, never even bought the freaking game. you have nothing on me so don't even try.

i'm not one of those. i stuck with the game from beta until after the servers went down during the non save period. i do agree with you that a bunch of people did pay and support the game during the pay period without touching the game just for the head start in arr they would get though.

(I am actually not bitter about this at all, I just think people need to get a grip when they honestly think they deserve the legacy status more than everyone else who paid for 1.0)

this thread isn't about who deserves legacy status or not. this thread is about 2 sets of people. just imagine you start the game the exact same time as someone else does and you have to put in 10x more effort than they do for the exact same thing. if 2 people picked up arr when it released and started a new char one person gets screwed because they earn the same gil from quests and all, but they need to make 10x the gil to get the same thing as someone else just because of what server they started on.

I'm not 'confusing' anything. I am a 1.0 player and as you can see by my main, I play on a legacy server.

being a 1.0 player or not isn't the point. the point is the people on the legacy servers feel like they are getting slapped in the face because of the huge difference in what they are forced to pay to access the same thing.

if i go out and farm that 20k from battle yoshi states you can earn a day it will take me 14,181 days to get enough gil for the land for a large piece of land, but another person can go out and farm for 909 days by themselves for the large plot of land. looking at that from a new player perspective that joined a legacy server they are getting screwed as they had nothing from 1.0. even the people that played in 1.0 only have 10% of what they had before and the economy is garbage now compared to what it was in 1.0.

If SE/Yoshi stays true to what they previously stated about restrictions on players on Legacy servers you only have ~2.5 more months until you can transfer to any server, at that point the price of housing will likely be normalized across all servers.

The higher price of housing on Legacy is so the small pool of players with a significant amount of gil can't screw over everybody else by buying up all the best lots tomorrow (there is currently a finite number of lots available.)

So all the people whining about this decision are actually the ones being protected by it in the long term.

I think England have a better chance of winning the world cup, in a final vs Spain and hammering Spain 10-0 then Yoshi keeping his work on unlocking restrictions. The max gil you can transfer (unless it's changed) is 4M (3M char, 1M retainer). Cheapest plot is 4M gil.......

How does having lots of gil server-wide on a Legacy server affect anything except that server's closed economy? Total gil might be higher, earnings might be higher, mat prices might be higher. And?

SE's inability to manage their servers is limiting people who would have the money, if prices were same for everyone, from buying space (plots) on those servers. Nothing more to it and that's why it people are upset.

It's not just cause Legacy players might have more money - it's cause SE can't afford high server side stress.
