Yeah, 4-5 people can definitely make 625,000,000 Gil if they pool their money together.
If they play for 10 years....

You either don't know the definition of the word 'mislead', or you're being overweeningly literal with precise definitions of words, to a Bill Clinton 'definition of the word is' level of extreme.
Either he knew at the time he said this that land was expensive and houses are cheap, and so he mislead us by mentioning the cheap and not the expensive; or they chose to add the land as a cost later, in which case he's known about it the past several months, and chose to drop it on our heads just two days ago with the patch notes. Either way, it is misleading.

Someone posted it was 8 million, is that correct?
I think that would take me the remainder of my sub to get to sadly![]()
if they aren't picky scrubs (like most of our community), they can easily get a small to mid house if they pull together their funds, with the new ways to obtain gil, depending on what plot they pick anywho-
On a new server where the price is set at around 4 million, 4 - 5 players leveling to 50, selling material along the way, and doing dungeons and other activities that generate gil .....
Counting up all the Allagan pieces i ignored in favor of worthless gear upgrades, i would of had close to a million Gil upon first reaching 50.
He also specifically stated maybes, probablys and possiblys. He was having a rough guestimate in order to answer a question he had no real answer for. Jeezus you people will attack the man for anything.
Yup you are right, I am precise with definitions of words. Being misled is to be told something and then when it actually happens it's not what was stated.
House and land are two different things. He ONLY discussed about the house itself, nothing about plots until the last minute.
Now, I will agree with you that he should have stated both ahead of time, Not just state "House will be obtainable with 4-5 people from leveling 1-50". He didn't misled because he didn't actually state anything at all about Plots.

They probably put that price so the instance servers don't crash because of so many people being in their fc houses. They might have 10 fcs per servers with those prices so they don't need to fix anything yet. Lol
So in one year from now they will say: oh! We are having problems in our instances for housing. We might need to fix it in the next big patch. Meanwhile, nobody will be able to buy a plot. Remember what I say. lol

you have a promising career ahead of you as a politician, a lawyer, or a used car salesman.Yup you are right, I am precise with definitions of words. Being misled is to be told something and then when it actually happens it's not what was stated.

Yoshi P totally didn't mislead anyone, just like how no politicians ever lie - they merely misspoke.
Imagine asking the dealer how much a car is, and when it's time to pay, the guy tells you the engine will cost you an extra 100x what he quoted the car for.

sad but true, can't never trust yoshi anymore too much lie/misleading informationRemember when 2.0 was scheduled for January 2013? Remember the original 2.0 screenshot with the Chimera? Remember how the first ARR screenshots showed 1.23's battle system? Remember when Crystal Tower was scheduled for launch? Remember how the new engine was supposed to fix most if not all of the lag issues?
It's not the first time something like this has happened, I get plans change all the time but fool me once, etc. It's hard to trust Yoshi-P when things like this keep happening.

I am what you would call an "older" player. I'm not sure what the median age is but I am fairly certain I am quite a bit above it. I played FFXI for 5 years; finally quit out of frustration, (killing the same NM over 50 times and never getting the drop is just stupid.) It was also frustrating because it became too much like real life; players that were the "haves" and players that were the "have nots." I work for a living and really only get to play on weekends, I'm pretty sure I will be shut out of this housing that is planned for FFXIV. Role Playing Games are suppose to be an escape, a chance to live out a fantasy life vicariously through a created character. Can't we just get our own Mog House?
