From there it will be possible to buy more land and rebuild, things like that. There will be lots of things you can do like have the roof changed to a different style, and then paint it whatever color you want.

Gaming is supposed to be enjoyable, we are all here to have fun and relax after work. I don't want to have to sit and farm 8 hours a day for the next 3 months just to get a FC house. The price is Sadly out of reach for most players and has disappointed a very large part of the community who were mostly looking forward to the housing feature in this game.

And right now it will take like what... 50 players with a level 50 class to buy a house o.O Granted, we will have to play 2.1 and see how it goes first... but from experience thus far, I don't enjoy playing markets so I don't bother trying to play the market, and I have a hard time making even 200k gil, I think the most I've ever had on me is 250k at one point.

Buying a house is most def. true. What the prices show are the PLOTS of land being sold. ( Again I don't agree with the pricing) but to say he misled us isn't correct.

Also like someone pointed out yes, 3 players may buy house and furniture. Not the plot for sure lol

I bolded the portion of where he said "I think" and "maybe" as he was not sure at the time. Cut the man some slack, he said several times over he did not know what he was going to set them at.

FCs that are made of new players on legacy worlds will mostly have alot less money than FCs that are mostly made up of Legacy players.
you can't expect a group of new players to have 40 million gil lol.

this is just housing SE, not a shining golden armor and sword.it's supposed to be enjoyed by the masses and so far it has had the exact opposite effect even before getting released.

Agreed. Yet another in a growing list of items where Yoshi has said one thing to promote and market the game (as publisher, 'gamer-friendly'), and then turned right around and did the exact opposite the second it was opportune to do so (as designer, 'gamer-antagonistic').

He can duck and dodge the question all he wants. But it doesn't change the fact that if we all stick to our guns and don't buy these houses (both in principle because we won't stand for this extortion, and 'de facto' because almost none of us can afford it), then he's going to have to turn around and change the damn numbers eventually.

Which is the only endgame I care about at this point. Though a bit of an apology for this outrage and a bit more thoughtfulness and communication between upper management and design in the future would be greatly appreciated, and honestly necessary for the long term survival of this game.

It won't last much much longer if we have to go through one of these ordeals every time a damn patch comes out.

Remember when 2.0 was scheduled for January 2013? Remember the original 2.0 screenshot with the Chimera? Remember how the first ARR screenshots showed 1.23's battle system? Remember when Crystal Tower was scheduled for launch? Remember how the new engine was supposed to fix most if not all of the lag issues?

It's not the first time something like this has happened, I get plans change all the time but fool me once, etc. It's hard to trust Yoshi-P when things like this keep happening.
