You're on a server with more gil. They want a gil sink so they adjusted the numbers based on the amount of gil in the world. Sounds right to me.

A better gil sink is to have the housing at affordable prices. If the prices are too high, no one will buy the houses and the gil circulating in the economy will remain the same.
That is because the main idea of housing price is not to act as a gil sink lol. People just like to call it that because that is how they understand anything that uses their gil.

The problem with this mentality is that the gil is tied up in the bigger FC's, not the smaller ones, so it is the smaller guys who are being pushed out. Those mega FC's aren't going to go after the tiny one room housing plots in Shanty Town. This doesn't solve anything.
We've been working towards this goal for 3 months already, and because the mega member FC's who sell Titan wins have huge amounts of gil, we are forced to farm 7 days a week for 3 to 6 months just to afford a tic tac plot in the slums? That is piss poor logic at its worst. Keep the nice areas, and bigger plots expensive, but why on earth make the introductory, one room home plots unreasonably high?
Dang you're right I totally forgot about the Titan wins. That was pretty much THE only way to make a ton of money. The market is terrible period. If selling fight wins is how you're going to make money in this game, its just not going to happen. The problem with this mentality is that the gil is tied up in the bigger FC's, not the smaller ones, so it is the smaller guys who are being pushed out. It'd be a gil sink if people were stupid enough to buy at those prices. Now it's nothing more than a disappointment, or are you really expecting people to drop hundreds of millions of gil on something which has no tangible value to themselves? People will pay 100m for an amazing weapon or piece of gear for *themselves*, not sure they would drop 100m gil on land (without house nor furniture).
