You don't compete with vanilla WoW. You compete with Mists of Pandaria WoW.You're implying WoW did everything right at launch? I guess the major lag, bugged starter area quests, way too few mobs for the amount of players, server outages, daily maintenance, limited endgame, imbalanced classes etc. is part of a successful launch then.. In which case, ARR had a perfect launch, as did pretty much every other MMO

For a Second Launch it better be a near perfect launch. Then again that didn't quite worked out on some servers and made Yoshi cry. You're implying WoW did everything right at launch? That would be correct, except he was talking about launch, not the current game.
The entire engine and server structure is new, a large part of the content is new, a lot of class/job skills/abilities have been altered.. So, while theoretically it's a 2nd launch, it's still a brand new game.
It's also hard to plan an MMO launch because there are just far too many variables. Some do it better than others, and ARR definitely isn't in the list of best launches, but in the end there are no perfect launches.

Might actually be downright impossible. Possible if you direct clone WoW.
Developers will be facing a good 10years? worth of content at launch, all that and not forgetting the people(pulishers, investors, etc) pushing the game to be release, even when its not ready.

Dam you SE, now I have no reason to go to CT, to beat T5 again to get my weapon, to beat the extreme mode primals or to have fun in PvP. You just ruined the game with this overpriced House system that haves nothing to do with the actual gameplay... I'm leaving!!. (lol?)

You might have overlooked the fact that every piece of gear introduced in this patch is worse than allagan gear. So have fun doing something thats not worth your time.

So wait you telling me mmorpgs can only fail one time with one patch and they are dead.
Huh..Warhammer Online lasted 4-5 years. WoW is still going stong, Neverwinter Online the same and so on. So no one bad thing in a huge patch does not kill a game. I think you are a bit angry about housing. I suggest you take a break![]()
Not at all, I can transform my DRG in 9 different DoW/DoM classes, and I want to try out some of them. Different opinions about what is "worth your time or my time".
Fair pointYou're implying WoW did everything right at launch? Wow had many problems, problems that would never have been excepted today, but we live in 2013 (soon 2014) and the requirements for games have gone up. Wow had problems, but the content was new and exciting for it's time. MMO's that come out today can't just have the same content Wow had a launch and expect people to stay through all problems....
What I meant with that statement was: The next successful MMO, is going to be one that has that new and exciting content which will hold onto players even if there are some problems. At launch that is... A promise for later release won't do...
