You don't have to grind at all. If you only do the storyline quests you end up with around 200k. If you decide to lvl your crafting/extracting jobs then you will have much more. If you just run WP/AK you will always have some influx of gil. At some point I had over a million gil. I had no use for, since you can buy end game gear with tokens and then I just helped friends with it. And if you check my DoL classes you will see I'm no "mindless grinder" with 50 on everything.
Doesn't sound very much like an opinion, unless its an opinion meant to sound like fact.
What is the percentage of those complaining about the prices? are those complains even justified? are they confusing FC housing with personal housing? or are they simply expecting to be able to afford housing at minimal cost to them?
This is the first time i've used this to refer to someone (I guess i was one too not long ago) but... White knight at it's finest.Doesn't sound very much like an opinion, unless its an opinion meant to sound like fact.

Yeah, I understand your point, but I disagree with parts of it. I kind of think the crafting and gathering jobs are grinding. I know some people enjoy them, but I'm not one of those people. Also, I did run AK a ton of times, but it was mostly back when it was a net gil loss every run and now I've kind of lost my drive to keep doing it, because other than myth tomestones, I don't need anything from that dungeon. I've also run it just so many times... =/
Even then, if you had a million gil and you were willing to donate half of it to purchasing a Free Company house, you would need 39 other people willing to do the same to buy the smallest plot in the least desirable area on Hyperion. I was really looking forward to FC housing, but with an FC that only had about 10 people in it and given that we all play pretty casually, I don't think we will ever get a house.
