I think they break even, it's just made the DRG = Burst / MNK = sustained even more distinct. While a good MNK still has the advantage over a sustained fight, the bursting for DPS-rush phases on DRG is immense.
I agree MNK got over-buffed though. The potency buffs to TS and Bootshine are fine, and the positional change to Demolish is just a small difficulty increase, but the Greased Lightning buff is a bit much. Especially considering good Monks could already sustain it in end-game content except for things like Ifrit dashes. Even in Coil, every turn except the last in certain phases is easy to keep it up. I have to wonder if the people complaining about it falling off all the time were too vocal, when GL is part of the skill / reward of playing the most complex DPS job. 27% more damage at GLIII over a long fight is some crazy stuff. It might end up balancing with the other job changes, but on paper it seems a bit much right now.

Devs do very little listening to forum complaints. They saw there was a major flaw with their content design when looking at how warriors are built and they adjusted for that. All other changes are things they thought where important.

Good monks have been saying things like GL duration are fine and only bads where complaining about it. Drg and Mnk are not intended to be easy to play as... I still don't understand how everyone is missing this.

Smn was clearly to high before and they are getting nerfed a little. Blm are not gods of single target no mater how much they would like you to believe that. Bard nerf is almost nothing except for RoD which I really don't understand... I woudn't be surprised if its a translation error on that one. Drg was hurting but their biggest issue was jumps killing them.

We have single target dps (mnk and drg), aoe dps (Blm) and support dps (smn and brd). There is a very good chance the jobs will now rank exactly where they should for what they do.

I don't get where you are getting your jobs ranked for what they were intended for because I don't know about you, but I can't read developer's minds, but I think it's well agreed that summoner and monks excelled at single target dps, where as black mages and dragoons excelled at burst where as bards were ranged with support capabilities. If anything, the thunder change (since it's global and not summoner specific) is based off of lack of AoE in the other caster classes, which is fairly idiotic since most of said complaints were cuz FATE's.
