It's worded funny and I don't think applies to stun, since stun already has "diminishing returns".
Unless they mean it'll be like elemental attribute resist in WOW; where you could start seeing "resist" every now and then (Though this was mended via higher accuracy attribute in WOW).
Still, you rarely use stun in high level encounters.
It would be interesting if they're putting silence on the "diminishing returns" table. Interesting and scary.
Pacify is a nice way to fill in the gap, if your DPS is low and you have to stun more than 3x before entering "diminishing returns".
But pacify also suffers from the same "diminishing returns" table.
If it worked like silence currently does, it'd be pretty awesome.
1) Stun is a status affliction so it still counts for this nerf.
2) They worded it fairly clear, they in no way mean elemental resists.
3) Ifrit is a set skill rotation, DPS has nothing to do with the timing of eruptions.
