I know it'd be a lot of work, but I still wish each class/job had its own LB animation, too. Heck, I'd be fine if it's just the melee classes that got individual LB animations. "Omnislash" with a buster sword just doesn't sit right with me unless it's a Great Sword DRK. MNKs should use their limbs, and DRGs should use their pointy sticks.

Just curious now. What LB animation would you like to see, anyway?

Bring on your creativity, folks. LOL.

Personally, I'd love to see SMN summon a giant, fat chocobo (instead of a meteor) from the sky to aoe smash mobs for Lv.3

My apologies for paraphrasing, but I remember a quote about this from Yoshi-P that explained he didn't like the idea of individual LBs because it decreased their value. Everyone having their own LB no longer made them special attacks, and instead they become just another button in a person's rotation.

Then there's also the need to properly balance each of these LBs, and all the graphical fuss you'd have of seeing dozens of LBs go off at the same time on screen (if you thought Meteor was bad as is, just imagine 2-4 of them going off at the same time).

I think the point of the person you're replying to was that the -animations- should be special, not that each person would have their own LB meter. It makes no sense for a Monk to bust out a sword, but if they do thousands of points of damage on behalf of the party with a sweeping set of fist attacks, the same way as a Dragoon would wield a spear to do a visually impressive jump dive, that would help make LB more interesting without changing the mechanics.

If that's what they meant, than I correct myself. Having unique Limit Break animations, while keeping the core functionality of said limit breaks the same, that I could get behind. It is a little funky for a PGL or a LNC to suddenly bust out a sword for their LB.

Me, too. Just animations, not individual LB meters.

    1. The number of Lv.50 classes/jobs you have says nothing about your skill.
    2. FATEs are responsible for the majority of Lv.50 "derps".
    3. Don't blame a healer if you died in red zones; that was all on you.
    4. As a healer, healing is your top priority; DPSing comes second.
    5. As a tank, your healer can only keep you alive for so long; avoid red zones, too.
    6. As a DPS, you're partially responsible for hate management, too.
    7. Don't belittle newbs for their lack of skill or knowledge; you were one of them once.

Eh, I don't know, I preferred the two hour ability system from FFXI and I know others do too. It's not really just a button press, seeing as the myriad effects they could have, and further more, graphically speaking at max it's 8 abilities in raids going off at once, unless they release actual HNM's in this game.
I feel like the lack of individualization on their part was just plain laziness lol.

    Scholar: Army of Fairies
Summoner: Egi changes to full size primal and uses it's special attack
Monk: Either Tifa or Zell's full combo
Bard: Something new please. Arrow Storm with debuff effects?
    Warrior: Max HP buff?
The other's can all say the same
