I think his meaning was that going from 15% to 20% healing bonus isn't huge when it should have been 25% all along especially now that we're losing a huge amount of self healing. I could be wrong thoughIt is huge, it means you can pop IB for damage mitigation and keep your 20% healing buff(you really should compare this to prepatch/postpatch instead of comparing it to paladin). While I understand there's a 5% difference, it's not too big of a deal in my honest opinion. I also apologize for the wording of my first post. Meh... Paladin, Warrior... I'm just happy I'll stop hearing things like "Wow.. you get hit so hard..." or "Why aren't you using mitigation cool downs during BLANK phase?".

You should already be doing this. The loss in healing amounts to 7% over 20 seconds. Having said that, i agree that Warrior will be better overall.

By using cool downs before death sentence begins to cast, its possible for paladin to space bulwark, rampart, sentinel and convalescence so that they can mitigate every single death sentence indefinitely. More, most of these will carry on longer than the short 20% warrior will have. Accordingly, warrior will not have a meaningful advantage on death sentence mitigation.
Also... @ stoneskin and health. Just... sigh. Math is hard. Both classes have exactly the same effective hp. After the defiance change, the math works out such that paladins will require approximately 4.5% less healing over time than a warrior (this is looking at both using their tanking stance and no cool downs, the imbalance is more in pld's favor once cds are included). In addition, as blocking is checked independently parry (thus resulting in more passively mitigated hits since every hit is checked twice), and the fact that paladins will still have more uptime on cds, paladins will require quite a lot less healing over time than warrior.
Until you factor in Inner Beast. If you look at the mean contribution of Inner Beast, WAR and PLD end up requiring the same healing over time. If you start looking at properly leveraged Inner Beast (i.e. popped right before any substantial burst damage), WAR ends up requiring less.In addition, as blocking is checked independently parry (thus resulting in more passively mitigated hits since every hit is checked twice), and the fact that paladins will still have more uptime on cds, paladins will require quite a lot less healing over time than warrior.
Neither PLD nor WAR take a large amount of skill.

But an active mitigation tank takes more skill to play then a passive mitigation tank does. You cannot deny the fact that warriors have to think a lot more and react much faster then a paladin would with using their combos properly and not just spamming 123 halone combos.

To be effective, Warrior does require more skill. But I'm more of a Paladin player, even though my Paladin isn't even into existence yet. I just like to be lazy on tanking by face smashing Butcher's Block combo and routinely forgetting to use Maim. But being that Warrior is just an alt to get instant queue into DF for shits and giggles, I'm not worried about actually being *good* at it.
Hence why I disagree with Warrior not requiring more skill.
