    Depending on how they implement the "capture the flag" game Yoshida mentioned, you'd already have a guaranteed spot for a PLD or WAR as tanks tend to make the best flag carriers (keeping in mind that PLD can break roots and snares while WAR has an HP advantage).

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:
    Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

    Tank classes are some of the best in PvP.

    Aye.

    In a nutshell, objective based game modes are great for tanks. Things that are just a pure death match/killfest probably less so without some extreme loving from the devs (which would probably in turn cause issues with objective modes) as they generally lack the burst to help kill someone while an opposing healer is CC'd or otherwise occupied (their durability only matters if they're getting hit while the lower damage output always matters).

    Warrior stance dancing could prove interesting, depending on how it all plays out. Guess we'll find out in less than 2 weeks.
