Hey Vespi babe.I am so sick of prioritisation. Or prioritization* if you are that way inclined.
What is this? An intellectual recession or something? Aren't we even allowed to want things anymore?
Everytime someone asks for something, regardless of how basic and standardised the concept is, apparently it cannot be done because it isn't "a priority". Funny, here was me thinking this was supposed to be a video game competing in an already saturated market.
We can't even have mounts anymore because it isn't a priority. Lol? If this was an indie company with ten staff members, I could perhaps understand where people were coming from acting like a mount is a luxury we can't afford. But this is a game produced by Square Enix.
Shouldn't basic things like mounts, jumping, network-coding, and other such features be within their capacities. It's not like any of these are novel ideas with no precedent. They are elementary features.
Weren't you posting about how we shouldn't get all of this stuff?
<3
ily.
Oh that. I was probably just doing my impersonation of everyone on this forum who just regurgitates verbatim every excuse given in producers letters with their own personal embellishment as to why it means we can't even have BASIC FEATURES.
The fact is, SE shouldn't have to prioritise on the development of basic features. This isn't a third world country. Resources cannot really be so scarce as to validate such excuses. And if so, then why are we still bothering to play an evidently abandoned game?
Yeah, right. You're just a flip-flopper.
This thread proves it: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...BELIEVE-IN-YOU
Well complaining obviously hasn't worked, so I figured I would try flattery and motivational speaking.Yeah, right. You're just a flip-flopper.

You can't blame me for trying.
You just seem to come across as an unrelenting idiot. Do you honestly think SE cares about the opinion of the individual? It's about group ideas, and general themes. Trying to coerce them does nothing but make you look stupid.
You and a number of other members of the forum need to stop trying to be "forum leaders" and recognise that what you want and believe isn't at the forefront of the community.
Edit: They've already said that mounts, possibly jumping and other features are coming by the end of the Summer, what do you want? Stamping your feet and saying "NOW NOW NOW" isn't doing shit.
It was merely some nice words of encouragement. You don't need to jump down my throat about it or anything. Gosh, the one time I try to be nice! You just seem to come across as an unrelenting idiot. And why would I bother coercing the devs. It is not the devs' minds that need changing. You said yourself that it is the collective opinion that matters most. Hence why I make so many threads discussing the erroneous opinions of the collective.
To be fair, unrelenting idiot was a bit harsh and immature <_<It was merely some nice words of encouragement. You don't need to jump down my throat about it or anything. Gosh, the one time I try to be nice!

That said, if you want to convince the community jump should come before endgame content, you're pretty much SOL.
So complaining didn't work (by your own admission)...so...why are you back to complaining? Does not compute.
FPS games are the king of quick, make one during your lunch break and still have time to eat your sandwich, games and should not be compared to any other game as far as development time is concerned.

Resources aren't scarce, there is simply more to do than in most games. Can you really not see that? Which games redo their combat and class systems? This isn't rocket science.
You can only answer for yourself. I bet most people here aren't playing the game as long as it hasn't got enough value in it. They are simply waiting while living their lives normally. It doesn't take much effort to do so.
In the reality where the people taking advantage of said basic features are in an extremely small minority when compared to the people who would benefit more from a rapid implementation of core feature rehauls and faster implementation of basic features afterwards. In what reality do game developers prioritise the implementation of basic features? Answer me that.
The reality is it's easier to rehaul the core systems and then implement basic features as opposed to implementing basic features and then rehauling the core.

How can either of us say for certain what the reality is. All I can do is comment on what's apparent. The fact that they are prioritising such elementary features like User Interface, Jump, Mounts, and the list goes on suggests that they do not have the requisite number of staff to attain their goals within a workable time period.Resources aren't scarce, there is simply more to do than in most games.
