    No I get you wasn't going against what you said I agree sorry for the confusion. Was just trying to fit a bunch of my 2 cent in one post cause I'm sure I'll run out soon ^^.

    I was upset about crystal tower being easy since it wasn't in launch. But Yoshi came out and said some stuff a few weeks ago that changed my mind about the game, So I decided to give the game a 2nd chance by leveling up other jobs to 50 so I would have plenty of stuff to hold me over until 2.2. Now this comes out and everything I thought I could do just went down the drain because of a weekly lockout on loot.

    Don't get me wrong I really like this game but there isn't all that much to do.

    I thought Crystal Tower was going to be a way for us to gear up other jobs.....

    In my eyes the CT gear was a. for players who have a hard time clearing Coil, b. for players who would like to equip their second/third/fourth/fifth job, c. for vanity. None of the aforementioned uses for the gear justify one week loot-lockouts in my oppinion.

    1 week gear lock makes huge sense. It won't crash economy. If you do coil a lots, you will find Each week you can't get a piece for the job you want in average. People need run multi times crytal tower without wipe to get one piece he real need. Good luck to get in crystal tower and finished it in 2 hours. I can guarantee you will wast 8 hours on crystal tower every week just for one piece of gear which you need. How many people still play 8 hrs each week? Crystal tower is big content they will add.

    how does allowing it to be ran multiple times with a lower drop rate crash the economy? your logic is completely flawed.

    first, with the way it is now all gear from the dungeons are unique untradeable so it doesn't hurt the economy. if you cannot sell gear on the wards you aren't touching the economy. don't try to use the excuse because people won't buy the high level crafted gear because that's already the case besides the ilvl70 crafted set if it's hq and melded. This is even taking into consideration that this rarely sells anymore either. when it does it goes for a little of nothing.

    second, it's ilvl80 gear and not bis ilvl90 gear. running the content for the ilvl80 gear is no different than running dungeons to get darklight. both the ct gear and darklight are nothing more than stopgap gear to be able to complete things like titan and coil. i understand some type of lockout on bis gear, but the ct gear doesn't fit that description at all. in yoshi's own words ct is meant to being able to run your alts and gear them up to start running content.

    third, you mention running ct for multiple weeks and not being able to get the gear you want is flawed as well. if you run multiple weeks for the one piece you want(like whm head piece for example) you could have already gotten the darklight piece, had the ilvl70 piece made and melded, or even got the myth tome piece which is bis in many slots.

    If he's talking about the ilv70 crafted gear...then I don't know what rock he's been living under but the market already crashed. Repeatedly. And it will again when philosophy tomes are even easier to get.

    I refuse to level an alt when the end result should be the same. I am only a "main job" BLM now because I have spent time on crafting. I will never be something comparable in a respectable time frame for another combat class unless I wind up abandoning my BLM to do it, too. This is backwards. This does not reward people for exploring multiple facets of the game. And it certainly isn't casual friendly no matter how much some may delude themselves into believing it's "keeping them close" to people that won't play with them to begin with.

    I refuse to support time gating. If I can't get something, it best be because the content is hard. Otherwise, there is zero point in repeating the content after the fact.

    Here is what someone else posted it would make some sense because I didn't know there was going to be 4 bosses at the start of CT.

    While a more optimistic view, I have zero inclination to believe that is actually the case as it seems like a pretty important matter to bring up when explaining it. I doubt it got lost in translation as I've seen two people go over it now.

    6 gear groupings, 5 pieces minimum, at least 30 items total. Nearly 8 months minimum are needed if you want them all. This is not 2005 anymore, SE. You have competition. People don't want to be strung along for reasons not tied to their skill level. Looking 3+ months into the future is not something I do for my entertainment needs. I doubt most rational people do, either.

    Why would it be an important tissue to bring up when every single game out there has per boss raid locks. Even Binding Coil locks are based on boss, so precedent is set.
