I think it should do something like no cast time on cure spells for 10 seconds, or cure spells while under PoM cost no MP. Something along those lines if it's only going to last 10 seconds with a 5 min cooldown.
PoM is probably the best throughput cooldown we have. I agree that I wish it lasted a little longer, but it's nowhere near useless.
