It doesn't have any unique abilities, no. What it does have is the highest magic damage (which is the biggest factor in how much your cures and dps do), highest MND (2nd biggest factor) and highest VIT (gives you more HP which is always nice).
As for 'plans' we simply don't know yet. Yoshi-P has stated that they kept gear stats very simple when launching the game to maintain balance, but that it was possible in the future that weapons could have more unique effects.
Kind of feels like the Devs and CMs have forgotten us Healers exist... I realize that's not true, but it is how it feels :\
What? Why? Both healers are in great shape, and some of the biggest issues we had are getting tweaked/fixed in 2.1.
What else is wrong in your opinion?

Seriously though, I'd rather the devs not play with something that generally works pretty smoothly.
He is a white mage . No hot fix or QoL changes for us yet. Besides the raise change that affects both healers. Is whm getting a change in 2.1?
Cure 3 rework.
Stop the steady to guard switching after inputting a command to the fairies. If this doesn't happen then make Eos stop wasting WD while on Obey. Either one will make SCH perfectly Complete in my eyes. Both would be amazing but really is they fix steady and guard then the obey issue with Eos will go away as well.

Forgive me as I don't play WHM (yet), but isn't their biggest concern at the moment the lackluster CureIII? Considering how well they heal overall it doesn't seem like a big disadvantage right now.
With pet macros being implemented that won't really be an issue anymore (not a fix, just an easy workaround which is good enough for me), but yes it would be nice if we could prevent Eos from casting WD when someone gets a sliver.

I agree that it is an easy work around, and even though I am no programmer or even someone who understands coding all that much I would say that the Steady and Guard switching can't be that hard to fix since it really only affects the fairy and has no real impact on the environment at all. If we become complacent with "work arounds" instead of fixes they will never fix it.
