Coil mode for main story

People who are complaining about not being able to access the story of coil because they cant even TRY to learn are the same kinds of people who say DKS should have an easy mode, if you can learn you are not allowed this piece of info, that is a reward for the people who can, that is how life works screaming about how it isn't fair and the world should dumb down for you is selfish, plus there are like 5 cut-scenes that you can just watch on youtube, if you don't want to put in the effort then youtube it however stop trying to ruin our fun and challenging content please.
plus this game again is already piss easy, go play bejewled if you want an easier game

look i know that you are trying to make fun of me but all i have seen on this thread is "lol hardcore gamer are so selfish, which is why i should post all the reasons that they suck and why i deserve content handing to me even if it ruins the players who prefer challenge's experience because why should i think about them? they are selfish lol"

If you at all read any of the 20+ pages you would have come across quite a bit of people who have already said the same things and the same points you are trying to make...if any of those people can't convince the other half of the people that are for easier content then your just wasting your breath, the mod that came in a few pages back has already informed us of the dev teams plans for coil 1-5...that kind of tells you that you are in the minority that's for the content to be not changed and dumbed down, but i would rather think they had this planned out and were going to add the buff anyways at some point, besides it's too early to see what else they might do...they might change their minds and leave things as is! =P

It's not like this request would destroy traditional Coil. It'd just add an easier version with reduced-quality or removed rewards that would allow people who actually care about the story of Coil to experience it.

I think most people would be ok with this. I think if you do easy mode you shouldn't get any loot or like you said a lower level of loot.

actually you have been greatly in the middle of this entire thread so i would kind of like to hear your opinion on this (being serious if i could have logged on earlier i would have liked most of your posts) also i know that the mod told us but i was throwing my two cents in there just because i was sick of all the "hard-cores suck" attitude that a lot of people in this thread seem to have.
but i honestly just feel the game is being dumbed down too much and because games are becoming too easy few games dare to become challenging, do you really think if dark souls had come out around the time of its predecessor kings field (if by some miracle it could run on those systems XD) that it would have gained such a reputation for being really hard? no. it would have just been another great game because now days hard games are rare and as this thread is showing, any effort required is shunned.

It has nothing to do with can or can't. I will put a couple of questions to you to see exactly where you are coming from:

1) Do you acknowledge that 'end game' content is a defined section of the game and that it is separate from 'main story' content?

If you answer yes, then:

2) Do you acknowledge that The Binding Coil of Bahamut is - in terms of skill/gear requirement, mechanics - 'end game' content?

yep its end game, only raid in the game and you have to get through 3 HM primals (more in 2.1 and past that) and farm them as well as farming dungeons for DL to get them, only dedicated players can even get there so you would expect it to be hard, i don't like that we are considering going through all that work just so i can be a breeze and suddenly we have the highest lvl gear.
