I think he means that it will display what you can BUY it from a Vendor for, if a vendor sells said item.
Camate clearly says "vendor's sale price" which means what the vendor sells the item for. You guys are thinking of "vendor's buying price" which would mean what the vendor would buy the item from you for. We can currently view the vendor buying price when putting up an item but we cannot see the vendor selling price (without looking it up online or making a note of it).

the sale interface doesn't tell you, the tooltip window tells you. There's nothing that states that the default sale price is the vendor price- not that making this more clear is going to stop people selling things for below that.
Correct. They are looking into making it so the price that a vendor is selling a particular item will be displayed when you go to put an item on the market board. Sorry for any confusion.

Maybe that's what he means, But they have said stuff before and it was already in the game.
Even then there would be no reason to add the price it cost from a vendor. I will have to check but I think some NPCs sell stuff higher than others (I'll check been a while since I leveled a craft).
Another reason why it doesn't matter is because people will still under cut so if NPC A sells Horseshoes for 1340g player A will put it up for 1340g and player b-z will undercut..... see what I'm saying waste of data that could be used for better things.
Back to selling when you look at an item unless you can't sell it, It has the price you can sell it to an NPC same when you list the item. Either way impatient players will always undercut even if they are losing gil...
Thanks but I don't think it will help with the undercutting.

nooooooo. i make such a killing buying NPC gear and selling it on the MB.... /sadface
You guys think you have it rough, currently Philo Mat's are 7k on Tonberry. That is just an example of how much these "HAPPY" people undercut. We have such a huge bot problem that now the bot's aren't just selling your usual apkallu eggs, your shards/crystals etc...they're actually making food and other popular goods and undercutting by massive amounts.
"Just buy them out and make money" you say.
Great, and you know what happens...you buy them out, and within 10 mins, there are 3 more bots selling for that same price or less, and that becomes the stable price (trust me I know it's been happening for the last 6 weeks). Then you've got a ton of items you can either sell at a loss, or you have wasting space.
FFXIV DO MORE TO GET RID OF THE BOTS! I found an FC the other day, wish I saved the link...it's like a pure bot FC. LVL 50 mining and gathering and archery (dead giveaway), level 20-30 gear on every character...no pinks or greens or blues. All weird names like gyfhe fygjeh.

http://i.imgur.com/NJZgC1W.gifGreetings,
While we can't promise a specific time period for when it will be addressed, we are looking into a system adjustment so that the vendor's sale price is displayed when you put an item up to be sold on the market boards. This should help to establish more standardized pricing.
