To prevent leaving after getting item, the lock should be removed when last boss is defeated or time reaches zero. So if someone leaves, the only way to remove the lock will be to clear ct without the right to loot, or spending entire 2 hours trying. Being afk or disconected for an extended period of time should trigger vote kick, and when it passed it is treated like leave.
better than people quitting because they can only play the game one day a week. i would rather gear be like the original in 1.0 with a short 15 min lockout after completion and a low drop rate than the current design.

Also what should be asked is if you can join this duty in progress. If someone does leave, doesn't mean the group is doomed.
Did you forget that the only "True Endgame Content" we have is Turn1-5? And that's all there is until 2.2.... So some people will always say that. I would rather be able to spam something 50 times a week to work toward something, Than to log in twice a week for 2hrs like I have been doing and have nothing else I want to do.
Also don't forget you will have to lot against others so its not like your getting all your gear for every job in one week.
I'd be ok with the lock out if it was one piece per run... But TBH I don't see that happening. People are going to come in get what they want and leave, People already do it in AK.
Adding Tomes is pretty much a waste, Phil Tomes will pretty much be obsolete after 2.1 unless items are need for new crafts. Myth Tomes have a Cap so after doing your weekly CoB (if you do) and running X amount of dungeons to cap you'll be done with them. Best part is a change of scenery, But unless you get like 80-100 Myth per run I don't think CT will be the new place to farm. And lets hope we don't get the "Speed Run" skeets who want to SR CT.
If SE would have added CT in a launch Then having a Loot Cap wouldn't be so bad if its like a 24hr wait time. If SE likes Lock Outs why don't we have HNM/NMs that drop loot?

1 Piece per 24 hours seems about right to me. As far as going in grabbing loot and leaving, loot could easily be saved til the end and after completion dropped into the players invo. Or all loot stays in a pool for each party til the end. After the last boss dies then you will be allowed to roll. However, I feel SE most likely has thought of this and has put something in place.
People can always not roll (even if they can only greed it) and just let the timer run out. This way the party will at least get 4-5 more minutes out of the person who may potentially leave. :3 But I'm sure they'd finish for the tomes anyways.1 Piece per 24 hours seems about right to me. Much better idea than one piece of gear per real life day. Not everyone is okay with paying $10-$15 to play for 2-3 hours a week for a month because they literally can't progress due to a physical restriction set in place by the game developers.
You must be the kind of person that likes to be limited to gain an artificial feeling of longevity.
What's wrong with one piece of gear per day? I feel like that's a lot. There'll be other stuff to do in the game in the meantime when the patch hits, too. Granted, it's all story and no i90 gear, but if that's all you're after, your end game life will always be boring.Much better idea than one piece of gear per real life day.
