Linkshell management is a discussion that was brought up and it is something to press the development team's face up against. In this instance, I'd agree with you, but what do you mean we cannot ask for it? You have every right to suggest focus on anything your heart desires. However, what you list as "basic" are different degrees of basic. Chocobos are basic in the sense that they are a staple of the Final Fantasy series. Jumping is basic in the sense that it is a standard feature in MMOs in general. Linkshell management is an out right basic feature that arguably should have been implemented since day one.
Out of all the things you've listed, I only see one valid argument to your point. Again, you are not understanding that your frustrations and your opinions based off of those frustrations are inferior compared to what the reality is in this new direction of development. Battle system was the first in the system's major overhauls. In order to achieve this, there needs to be a lot of attention paid to keeping it balanced and cohesive with the already implemented world. This, to me, looks like it should take a lot of effort.
One more thing to point out, the reason why FFXIV was such a disaster after it's launch was not only because it was released so soon, but due to the lack of communication between the several development departments. After their developmental gutting, they pointed this out and promised to keep all departments in the know so everything can in some way be tied in with one another. If they are keeping up with this practice, there should be a better flow of actual content coming through after they patch up their poorly implemented foundation. Battle will be the catalyst of end game systems, which will lead into companies to support those system, which will lead into superior gear sets, which will lead into raising level caps, and everything in between.
