My best advice is to have the main tank grab both adds immediately with a flash, so then the OT can grab it off the MT rather then it running to the healer. We have done this a few times and have been successful. Good Luck!

Our group always has the MT do the pull away to the other side method. Rarely have problems as healer as I tend to be the one on the MT when the split happens even with regen on them. I have to pop shroud and divine seal when the brd(s) time their song wrong or like last night we won without a bard. The rare times we have had a hate pull is when Eos feels it's time to mpk the group or an ill timed lustrate or the pathing of a snake goes wonky. I swear the boss at times likes to troll from time to time.
OP instead of creating a post whining about how you think you were unfairly criticized, how about you just learn to play? Theres obviously room for you to improve if you cannot keep aggro on your targets. Turn 1 has been farmed by people for over 2 months. Flash, Halone, Flash should be enough to keep initial aggro on your snake. You shouldn't use Provoke at all. Save it as an emergency for if you've lost aggro on it, after Flashing. If you still can't get it back, then you use Provoke + Halone + Lob.
Comboless Halone still provides you with ample threat.
I suggest studying a video and finding out what you're doing differently or wrong. Or, best choice is to whisper a tank in a high-end FC on your server and get trusted knowledge while making a friend on your server.

It's simplest if the Main tank just moves. Problem solved. Was having this issue for the last few weeks with OT struggling on split. Then I started just moving my snake. Haven't had an issue yet.
I have to ask what cures the healers were using. Besides the problem of not having the MT move Cad, the healers should not be pulling any hate. I saw mention of medica going off, dont know if it was in your fight, but that's so wrong. IF healers are pulling hate, they should prebuff the squishy tank. Eye for a Eye and Stoneskin. As well as shroud and the like. Little cures until the tank establishes hate and then a divine seal, cure 2 should set the tank to rights without to much issue. Getting these turns down is a team effort, and adjustments should be made per group for the win. People that say well this is how I heal/play and wont back off are just as much of a problem as a bad tank or low dps in the end.

Those healers shouldn't be in Coil then.... I mean, even if many people were hurt enough to warrant using Medica, the healers should have known better than to let the fight continue. ie they still shouldn't be in Coil.

I am the OT for our Coil Static and I pick up the split. When he slits all I do is shield lob him and haul ass to my platform and the instance he leaves me I provoke him and shield lob him again and he moves straight to me, every time.
But our WHM knows not to cast Medica II and Eos is on Standby until I get in position.
In other words, during the split the only one who should be getting healed is the MT and you (the OT), no aoe heals etc etc. If your WHM is medica spamming, it's their fault. Or if your DPS all takes a crap ton of dmg to make the WHM have to medica, then it's the dps's fault.

well im not a tank but im a whm and from what i have seen if ppl die its always BURN THE TANK or BURN THE HEALER!!!!!
I remember one time I was in WP and i had everyone jump down my throat saying i was the biggest moron in the world and deserve to die cause i couldn't heal through the tank just sitting there and fighting 4 mobs while not even trying to avoid the tonberry stalker and he had 2 of the stalkers on him and appareantly i was suppose to heal through them. I simply suggested that he should avoid the stalkers, and when i said that i was immediately told to go kill msyelf for being a huge moron.
So my advice to you if u wanna tank or heal, just develop a tougher skin. You will always be blamed. If you dont like being blamed for stuff be a DD from what I have seen you could be a DD and it could be 100% your fault but no one will blame you cause you are a DD, sad i know but from what I have seen so far true.
Just pre-activate RoH then move it while you shield lob that bastard. If the healers are still pulling aggro, it is them to blame. By the time you reach your destination, you should be ready to pour in your RoH combo with spirit within and CoS.

In our Coil runs I (as the MT) move my boss away from the OT after the split. I have enough established enmity that the boss won't pull off me as I'm running. As the OT, it's a good idea to have Rage of Halone ready for the split. We usually have the OT nabbing slimes to keep stacks down prior to the split, with our dps it's two slime rotations and then no more slimes till post split. Once you get to the no more slimes part, it should be easier to make sure rage of halone is active. Healers should not be spamming aoes, so one rage should be enough to get hate, and it saves you provoke. As others have also mentioned, fight or flight is excellent to pop at the beginning of the pull as well.. and of course, circle of scorn (as piddly as it is), and the silence, off cooldown.
If the WHM is having major threat issues, ask them to use shroud during the transition...and let them know medica isn't needed, and will pull aggro especially if used during the split transition. It may not completely help, you'll still need to be actively hitting the mob to get aggro.
