I honestly find the method of OT grabbing hate and pulling the add across the room, a terrible tactic.

It's much easier, safer, less confusing to have the MT simply move the part he has been tanking the entire time. Hate has been established by the MT, making it impossible for anyone to pull hate from it.

I was OT and as soon as Cacedeus split i would pull it to where i was supposed to but WHM ALWAYS managed to get aggro back. also Eos would steal my aggro too. it was annoying.

I never use rage of halone for pull him.

I provoc + i throw my shield maybe 2 - 3 times, and then i begin to tank him. Very easy. You need maybe better stuff.

So you Provoke the newly spawned mob that has no threat built on it in an attempt to gain threat on the target, you are using this as an example to show us that you know what you are doing and we should trust you. Is that a correct summation?

Sorry, your fault.. Your party was prob right. We all know it splits into around 66% health, that's when you should have rage of halone flashing on combo. If you can manage to just have it queued up and ready to use on the split you should be able to walk it about anywhere just b using flash.

^ This right here. Have the MT drag away the original , don't have the OT trying to drag away the split while trying to maintain/build hate as he drags across the arena - too easy for someone to pull hate off doing this method.

Join a different group. This is the hardest dungeon in game, no one gets it right first time. Find a patient and understanding company, it's going to make turns 2-5 more enjoyable too.

It does take some practice but as others have said - CoS, Flash, Run while using Shield Lob and have Voke ready in case of a healer over curing. Will help to blow a def cool down while running.

Or use the other method of MT moving the boss.

Once you get it right it will never be a problem again, like every other scenario in this game.

Get MT to move the snake to other side and OT stay on initial stop.

Snake has pre-split animation (it is water like effect), MT should signal it while OT prepare RoH combo.

Your MT is probably too lazy to do other stuff and give all the burden to OT...... don't feel bad about it

fyi i am geared to the teeth with +1 and full DL. wasnt a gear issue. i'm guessing my problem may have been with the halone combo on deck before the split but ive never had to do that in the past

As OT you should Have Fight or Flight ready at split, Flash, Halone, Circle, Spirits and use lob to pull him back If your not popping Halone immediately at the split yes mages getting hate as OT is your fault. If you are unable to get it down for whatever reason suggest you be main tank and have the other tank perform the OT duties.

Check your accuracy, you might be missing combos, resulting in losing hate. (surprised no one told him in 6 pages).
