Because no other DPS class in the game has 3 DMG boosting OGCDs (Raging Strikes, Blood for blood, and Internal Release) Not only that they have barrage as well, and a OGCD DMG skill that resets. Give DRG and MNK Raging strikes and watch the melee is OP QQ commence.
So the number of buff cd's is the case? Not the dps outcome at the end?
Sorry just have to ask, not trolling.
To OP; Drg and Mnk is both top notch dps classes, find the playstyle u like of those two and make ur choise. Atm mnk is a bit Ahead of drg in pure dps, from what i know. Cant go wrong either way between those two![]()

I think so because over all bard do not outdps many classes in long fights.
Of course it has to do with the final DMG output, but there in lies the issue, its pretty much because they have too many ways to buff their dmg. While they are showing to have a quite linear curve now, before when everyone was still AK/Primal weapons and AK/DL/Relic weapons very early into the progression, they could not be touched in damage. Now that everyone is getting i90 gear they are getting crept up on very quickly. This change might be reverted in the future. So the number of buff cd's is the case? Not the dps outcome at the end?

that is 4 DMG boost for bard. you should include Hawk's eyes it boost 15%DEX , that's a huge dmg boost
This will give Bard a lot of burst, but no matter how you look at it, their average damage is already the lesser of the three classes, even if not my much.
I'd just say give us some components that we can't move endlessly for. Keep us mobile, but not without some loss, kind of like a WoW hunter or early FFXIV Archer. Could just make Bloodletter look as awesome as it used to and require .5 seconds still time for the auto-attack to release. We're being nerfed for our 'no downside' movement, burst, and support, but as FCs get more and more damage-cap oriented, that support requirement is going to get more and more begrudged. I think nerfing the ridiculous amount of movement is probably the best target. The melee buffs themselves should take care of the damage "nerf".
Even in the Bard description though, we were described as sniper-ralliers, with the ability to utterly massacre foes in burst, and to keep the party going. I think Bard does that pretty well. It could just use some limitations to movement, which could also, hopefully, make the class more fun, and a bit more tactics-mindful.
On topic: I'd have to repeat what others have been saying. I generally see higher parsed dps off Monks of equal gear to DRGs, but it's nothing major.
If the AoE is essential to a fight, Monks do at least have ~5 AoEs in a row at a relative ~180 to ~218 (BFB) potency via Perfect Balance and Rockbreaker, which makes up for the difference between Dragonfire Dive and Howling Fist, and AoE dps in the short term. Otherwise though, Monk AoE dps will suck (~180 potency AoE every 6 seconds as compared to the same every 2.5 via Doomspike). And if you ever lose your GL buffs, that Perfect Balance will already likely be consumed for a single-target burn phase.
Play what style you like best. But give it a shot in level 50 dungeons before you make that decision if you can.

That was my only QQ I had ever had with BRDs. Back before everyones damage evened out, I said they just had too much in their kit (I'm a league player so I look at classes that way). They had utility, they were the top DPS at the time, they were ranged, and they had mobility. In my mind this just screamed OP. So in my rendition of nerfs I believed they should receive, I said they need to put a movement lock on bloodletter. Our BRD in our raid group was not amused with that skill having a movement lock. Either way it would allow for strategic planning of when to use it in heavy aoe fights such as titan. But now as their DMG is tapering off and started to get surpassed, I don't really think a nerf is necessary at all anymore. While I do find that them having so many buffs is ridiculous, their DMG without them is pretty lacking
