It's deja vu all over again
It's deja vu all over again
I've had Kilta on my ignore list for weeks. Yet somehow she's still cluttering up the thread without me even being able to see her posts. -_-
With that out of the way, I have to say I do not like the idea of auto-repair kits. If I understand what everyone it talking about correctly, it would essentially remove most of the incentives for interacting with crafters for gear repairs. Just stock up on a bunch of autorepair kits at the market and you're set?
this is a game. It isn't real life. The time it takes is just you playing. Why should I pay you a ton of gil to play the game? I can see paying you the use of a material (like in ffxi).what is the reason items people sell cost so much?
what is the reason gear cost so much?
the same reason as everything else!
it takes TIME to earn them, to farm them, to make them, to be even able to farm earn or make them
in games people like to see that they are getting something for their work
they dont wanna just be put in the gutter and told that they have to do it for free cuz its their job, which is what you seem to think is happening
again, you are what, rank 14 at the most? you still have NO IDEA whatsoever the true aspect of the game you keep rambling on about like you are a know it all
leave it to the people who have reached even at least rank 30+ to decide that as they have actualy experienced the game, something you seem to still have a huge lack of

you still are semi interacting cuz crafters would need to make them
or youd have to find one for the kits you couldnt find who can make them
but the general idea is to stock up on them so you dont gotta worry about finding somewhen when it breaks

Ok let me better say this since Ima have more room.
How is time a justification of price. May as well say a level 50 crafter can sell a level 1 item for 200K while a level 3 crafter should sell the same item for 500g Since time spent on crafting is larger on the 50 then the level three.
And according to time, selling mats for 30g-300g is justified on my end since i spent so little time in getting them.
in ffxi it took much longer to level up crafts and way more gil. And infact had no "freebie" way to level crafts... yet items only cost 1K for low levels. And they spent more time on them.
So how is time a justification in ffxiv? but it was never a factor in ffxi? (or items would be 10x more pricey)
Also, again if time was infact a justification, why was say leeping boots only 200K? when it took most ppl 3 years to get? by the amount of time it took, why didn't people sell it for over 40mil?
the time it take people to do things isn't always the same. So why should time be a factor?
lol it took longer to level crafts in 11?Ok let me better say this since Ima have more room.

what are you smoking
i now have 3 crafts at 50, and let me just say, its taken me at least 10 times longer to do that in this game then it did getting crafts to 100 in 11. WAY WAY longer
you once again have proven your ignorance on these matters
as for repairs, you really think asking someone to pay 5k gil is alot? its not
the people who complain are the people who dont wanna pay at all mostly, so again, that becomes a moot point
people are getting their repairs, the ones who dont wanna pay arent
if you dont wanna pay, not our problem
the fact that time is factored into it, is again, a FACT that also determines price
it is your OPINION that it shouldnt, and your opinion quite frankly, doesnt matter

That's just it, though. Players buying items from your retainer is hardly interaction. We need more interaction in the game, not less.
gil isn't real and just a digital point system. We do not work jobs to earn it. Nor invest in backs to hold on to it. Infact we pawn items we earn to each other or to npc to earn said gil. (or do levequests were gil is a reward) But we do not work 8+ hour jobs to earn money to spend. And infact we do not need to spend gil on stuff between players. And can trade items between each other. Like say your looking for a sword and are selling an item to buy said sword. I come along with this sword and can trade it to you for the weapon your selling. You can no longer do this in real life since money is now the current barter system. (unless you go to a pawn shop)

so your point is still moot
everything has a value, and money is just an interperetation of value
