I'm sorry, but that just isn't true. I have gotten quite a few melded accessories and my threat generation is so much better now. Being a giant hp sponge isn't going to do anyone good when your DPS are ripping aggro off of you.

Why is this even an argument? If you can't hold threat over a DPS you clearly have issues besides your gear.

I can strip my 30 VIT PLD half naked and still hold a mob off a full i90 Bard who doesn't know what Quelling Strikes is. In fact, in turn 4 I tank two mobs being targeted separately by a full i90 BRD, and a full i90 BLM. Even splitting my skills between them it's damn childs play to maintain threat on both.

The only possible job that you can realistically rip threat off you is a WHM and that is only if they aren't doing their job, or you aren't doing yours.
