This is some faulty logic. I won't use the words that it needs to describe how wrong it is because it would be rude.Personally I have no reason what so ever to run CT other than to get the unlocks the 1st time. CT is pointless and should have been launched with the game but wasnt. What they should have done was delayed the original launch when it was ready. They dropped the ball on this and I am willing to bet that because players have to wait til 2.2 its gonna hurt them.
You don't have a reason what so ever to run CT so EVERYBODY doesn't have a reason to run CT.
You can run whatever you want I just stated that I dont have a reason to run it and I am pretty sure others wont wanna run it either. Never did I say you or someone else has no reason to run CT. I gave my opinion and I dont care if you like it or not, just like you can have your opinions or reasons to run CT.
See if SE did the later and released the game a month or 2 late we most likely would have had different content than what we are getting in 3 weeks, but instead we are getting things that was suppose to have been included at launch.Granted not all was suppose to have been included at launch but still patch 2.1 could have been some what better. Seeing as the majority of the content can be run in ilvl 70 gear and my main is pretty much all ilvl 90 except for a few pieces and seeing I wont use my other jobs for said content, I wont re-gear them all with ilvl 80 gear. Everyone has a reason to either run CT or they dont have a good reason we as players decide.

and SE wouldn't have received all the money it received. It's stock wouldn't have rised from it's quarterly report. Good business!
My point was that not releasing the game would have hurted more than releasing without CT. And it was good business to release the game when they said they were going to release it. Sets a precedent.
But you have to understand that the people who post in forums are the minority. And the people who don't need this content are even less. It must really suck for you that this patch brings you nothing. Still, 3 months is nothing and I have faith that they will release in time.Maybe, maybe not but... players are getting bored with the current trend they are also not happy with patch 2.1 with all the arguing in regards to it. Only time will tell in regards to this decision. So from patch 2.1 til 2.2 we have a 3 months wait, I hope SE gets patch 2.2 out on time and with some really awesome content.
To me, it's a good decision to release content regardless. My friends just bought the game a week ago, and I see on google+ that a lot of people are just reaching lvl 50. There is a lot of good word for this game and I imagine there will be a population increas in the coming months.
I'm sorry for sounding rude in my first post. You don't seem irational like most posters here. I apologize

When is the population of an MMO every behind new patches? I have never seen an mmo patch that the whole population screamed and jumped up and down for. There is always people that will complain because the content released isn't for them, who cares, its not enough, its changing designs in a way they don't like, my class got nerfed, etc. I think for the majority this release should be good. For those that rushed content and maxed out well yeah sucks you went so fast you surpassed the release of content but it happens and would happen whether this was put in before or after coil as youd of blown through this and complained that the wait for the next content is to long blah. This is actually a great patch and 2.2 is looking great as well. Could be worst. they could do what helms deep did to lotro....
There's some choice words for you as well given past postsHowever, you seem to be twisting what he actually means and many before him stated - You can run CT all you want, but the fact even the guy in charge of this game has stated this is basically "for vanity" at this point for people who didn't hold off on end-game or took 3 months to get to end-game, you can't dismiss that CT is by design "useless" to progression.
Progression, yes - and as per usual in XIV community you'll have people try to argue that "people don't care for progression" but the reality of the situation is, progression is what keeps an MMO alive and regressing hopefully won't become a trend - Remember, the only reason this is really an issue is because it was SUPPOSED to be out BEFORE you did coil, now it's coming out after many, many people have been doing coil for months and CT isn't even after or inbetween coil, it's still before it.
So yes, in general it's useless content to do for vanity items - for the group that never touched end-game? Congrats, you have something to do before Coil. No one has ever stated otherwise as you seemingly keep trying to state people say.
Considering the game has been out for basically 4 months (3 years if you count content concepts), no one really 'rushed' and if it was all out as it should be, we'd be getting new progressive content rather than SE playing catch up - That's the main problem some have with it, not because they "rushed."

Ok, the faulty logic part was the not releasing the game without CT. I really don't give a tiny rat's ass what you do in game. You could chase your miqote tail all day long for all I care. Not releasing the game would have been bad, terrible because instead of playing whatever we have been playing we would have been still waiting.
Since that part is cleared up, I don't have anything to say about the rest of your response.
Well then they should have re-evaluated CT and made the rewards on par with Coil or slightly ahead and tuned up the difficulty. They didn't HAVE to stick with the mantra that CT was supposed to be the jump between Coil and AK since it took them 4 months to release the damn content. They could have easily repurposed it, pulled it from Duty Finder, and made it into the next level of progression or at LEAST on par with Coil.Ok, the faulty logic part was the not releasing the game without CT. I can agree and disagree to some extent. Honestly this is probably outta all my years of playing Xi and my time in 1.0 that and now 2.0 this is the 1st time that SE has released or going to be releasing a patch that I have not been excited for. This patch just seems lack luster at best but thats me. Normally even if it is only 1 thing outta the newest patch Im good to go but I really cant find anything thats even getting me excited. The one thing they could have done but it was unfortunatly a miss quote is actually make coil gear (not just weapons) ilvl 95, and make the myth gear a stepping stone to allagan gear. I understand some would have been disappointed in that but others would have been excited, but at least everyone may have been excited about something in patch 2.1.
if only SE included the vanity slots ...at least we could chase gear to wear .....because 2.1 gear looks awesome , but nop....no vanity slots until 2.2 (April?)
