Because once you have Relic/DL - your gear means nothing again until Turn 5. Given that low threshold of gear (and yes, that's low) - it's all skilled based.

Not surprising that experienced groups don't want to deal with a new player. If you think gear will carry you through Coil - haha, no.

If you love teaching so much, why aren't you joining new groups? Also, all the teaching you need is on Youtube so....again, low threshold.

ya i know gear doesnt mean much, however i wasnt talking about coil. i was talking about DF groups, i kinda said that in the first line of my post. i mentioned my gear because, it should be pretty obvious that if im in full DL and have my +1 its most likely not my first run of that dungeon, again i must stress since you missed it the firs time. this is in DF, as in DUTY... FINDER... groups....

....Relic+1 and DL is pretty dang standard for Coil. Maybe some people that really blasted through content and didn't maximize tomes per week might be stuck at Relic/DL. However, to think that DL gear is any indication of how far you've progressed in Coil is ridiculous. That is done through Allagan gear, noting that yes - some people could get screwed by the RNG.

So not only is sarcasm completely unwarranted, but what you imply is totally wrong.

Oh, and the DF should not and will not ever exist for Coil. I suggest you get over it.

While i agree with your statement, something about the "Go watch a video" approach has always bothered me, personal experience in both learning and teaching has always given me the impression that being in an instance to evaluate where things are going wrong from a first person perspective has yielded better results.

Agreed. However, the focus of our videos is to explain mechanics not so much about what each individual person is doing. Not so sure about what other people are doing. The idea is to understand the mechanics but form a strategy around those mechanics individually, within each static group. I can't tell a group running a BLM/SMN to play the same way a BRD/BRD/DRG plays. That won't work.

Also, it's just too much work to have a video from the perspective of every possible job on every turn.

Yah, real classy. It's a real dick move. Granted, being a dick can be fun in DF. I like to que into Titan HM and put on lower leveled gear... then watch people flip out and whine about what i'm wearing or start making fun of me. Then I put on all my iLvl 90 coil gear and start cheekily laughing at them while I watch them die to all the mechanics, + be way undergeared in comparison. It is dickary indeed.... but sometimes sadism can be so... liberating.

I've actually seen this a few times but what saddens me is not the trolling but rather how quick people are ready to give up and jump on someone when it comes to these fights, many of which could have been won with an honest attempt.
