IMO WildStar is extremely promising for the PvPers. You're entitled to your own opinion, though.

ESO didn't capture me in the betas I played, but I could see an audience for it.

like I said, it's not the first game people claim that about. I've long since accepted that the 'majority' will most likely never like what I like - and sometimes that's a good thing.

If you think you won't see these same threads here you haven't been playing enough mmorpgs. It's going to get the exact same complaints (other than lack of pvp.) "No end game. Leveling too fast. WoW Clone. Etc etc." Note, I don't think it's going to be a bad game. These complaints have existed in every mmorpg since WoW. They will exist with wildstar and many mmorpgs after it. Wildstar will even be declared dead and failed (even if it isn't.)

Its going to be absolutely garbage and it look already more than just simply outdated. Who want to do button mashup when pvpin and that sort of things ? might be devs of WoW vanilla behind, won't change the fact that it will still be immensely boring and you can already read it on the beta forums.

As for ESO, never played something so bad since years. Even the latest Darkfall totally destroy it, lol.

For pvp, FFXIV ARR gonna be a really good pvp game around February if they don't mess up RvR. Can't wait

SWTOR didn't fail because of lack of content. It failed due to poor support and horrible PvP design (except Huttball).

Ilum was a disaster, Soa's platforms were consistantly bugged despite Bioware claiming they fixed it. Every world was designed to keep Empire and Alliance factions apart, which killed World PvP from the get go.

This man speaks the truth. I miss Huttball but the Soa bug was annoying. It became a running gag that every patch notes would have"Fixed Soa" in them.

Is grinding for gear really the only thing to do in an mmo anymore? I'm sorry but I just can't imagine that the only reason I pay and play an online mmo is to simply "get better gear". Does anybody have any imagination left in them from when they were a kid playing outside? It's funny how some people that grind and grind the same dungeons over and over and over think everything else about the game is boring.... I admit I am more of a crafter gatherer than a dungeon grinder because I've found (from years of playing mmos) that going out in the world to find and do things has proven to be more fun (for me) than speed running stuff till I fall asleep. Just mah two gil, flame on.
