Allagan Gear getting buffed to ilvl95.

Actually, we're waiting on dev confirmation if the gear is being increased.

Before someone comes around and says "but they already did confirm it, see this post", I too will link to said post.

According to the stream, Yoshida did in fact mention this upgrade to item level 95 was to be for Allagan weapons only due to the difficulty of turn 5, whereas the text on the Japanese and English Q&A post indicated equipment in general. Just to be certain, we will double check with Yoshi-P and let you know for sure.

"Just to be certain, we will double check with Yoshi-P and let you know for sure". That to me sounds like "we think it's only weapons but until we ask we're not entirely sure", it's a farcry from knowing for certain it is only weapons that are getting the increase.

Also to the guy that keeps saying that pve doesn't require skill, as the person above me posted execution of said strat on a boss with a lot of mechanics does infact require a great deal of skill. If nothing else does to you then execution is where you are wrong, it's the same thing as execution for bringing down a skilled team in pvp, if you can execute a strat as a team to outsmart the other team then that requires skill. There's more types of skill than you seem to think there are and even with fights having a set rotation it doesn't mean they don't require skill to overcome.

You would just have the guy die in the beginning and run it with 7. If you can down twintania with 7 you can effectively sell a kill. Now... how many people are gonna buy a chance at loot? I can't imagine many. Titan is only being sold as its a guaranteed relic.

Problem with that though is unless you have extreme rng you will not get past conflags if the 8th person dies off the bat or even does terrible dps. The enrage is hard enough to meet even with good dps, however there's just too many mechanics in the fight(snakes/bird/conflag) that are very strict dps checks and without that 8th actually contributing a great deal those checks will not be gotten past. Now if what you're saying is a tank could be replaced with another dps then even then you're looking at a dps that still has to contribute atleast as much dmg as what the 2nd tank was doing because again all the mechanics I listed.

But again as you say you need extreme luck to even have a chance at the weapon in the first place if it does drop. People would be looking at paying millions for extreme conflag rng and to play their character well enough to contribute to then have to bank on chest rng. Now to me that just sounds like too much rng and a waste of millions of gil for 5 ilvls on a weapon that will most likely get replaced by relic +2 or something easy in 2.2.
