Yes a little bigger or more detail on them would be nice or just like this on the image so cool!I was watching the new Extreme mode primals and noticed that they summon their own Egis. WTF!
They look far more cooler than what SMNs have. If those models are already in the game, why can't we have them? They could just make them smaller.
Even Yoshi made a quip in the last Live Letter:

Yes. Yes, to better detailed/colored/bigger Egis.
But... the answer is no. Yoshi-P already said he hates the way FFXI did summons, and will not do it that way because my guess is... it's how he personally feels.
I understand he's the director for XIV:ARR.... but I mean really? It just seems so petty to want to do that, granted I will admit I don't have a quote at this moment in time to back up where he said this, I'd have to find it, if I can find it. If anyone knows where he specifically said this please feel free to help a fellow SMN out hahaha...
Any who, yes I think this is one think the Devs and Yoshi-P should listen to from the community. The positives for this kind of change far out weigh the negatives, that includes "time spent" on developing this too...

Even if the egis didnt look exactly like the Primals and remained the same size, I think a substantial number of people seem to think there's room for improvement on the aesthetic design of the egis.
Currently they look like poorly textured elemental minion pets. Does anyone see a summoner's egi and think "Wow, so cool!"?
I'll repeat myself as a broken record.
Add in these models as "vanity" and let Summoners decide which model to use. If they are post-poning vanity until 2.2 or 2.3 they may as well include pet jobs vanity fully.
Makes no sense at all to have this in the game, but cut it off from customers with the argument "1 guy at the office don't like the idea so we are not doing it".
I think the egis are cute lol... It's all a matter of opinion... I just know that seeing 9999 original garudas around the screen like the FFXI pic someone posted before would look a bit silly IMO lol...
I like it the way it is.
Also storywise - Don't primals exsist just one in the whole world? So it won't make sense for those who are into the story to have many Garudas running around...

Why is it... when this thread pops up, there are those who think that those of us who want better Egis want "Primals". We do not want Primals lol.... we just want better/bigger/more detailed Egis. /sigh
Also story wise..... it would make sense want to know why?
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/game/#!/jobs/contentIn times immemorial, there lived mages who had not only the power to summon the primals, but also the means to transmute the primals' essences, thus binding them to their will.
SE really shot themselves in the foot with this whole lore....

A part of me doesn't want to be a summoner because of the Egis details. I mean c'mon, making them a bit bigger and giving them a bit more detail would be nice....
I was commenting on those that do want mini primals, you're not talking for everyone XP /sigh
English is not my first language and I'm no expert in it, but as far as I can tell, it can also mean Primals as in: Ifrit, Garuda and Titan, and not Ifrit, ifrit, and... Ifrit! So we won't know what SE meant by "Primals" until they clarify that one XPAlso story wise..... it would make sense want to know why?

Copy cat much? I've never once seen but maybe two-three people in all of the threads like this ask for full Primal aesthetics and I didn't see anyone in this thread in particular ask for them either.
Ok understandable, but it still said "Primal" a primal is a primal no matter which one it is. So they are saying in that bit of lore they have provided themselves that in the past, Summoners could summon Ifrit or Garuda or Titan if they wanted to as well as transmute their essence into Egi forms.
Again I am not asking for full primal powers or aesthetics at all, just to clarify.

When I first saw them I thought they were minions. When I found out they were summoned creatures I became a white mage instead.
They just don't have that WOW factor that most summons have in other games.
