Almost everyone in my FC is excited for 2.1 and are continuing to do the same stuff we have been doing. If the only thing you care about is gear for yourself then may MMOs are not for you.

Im a little confused with this...what exactly do you care about...mmos are based on the endless drive to get better gear
There's no plan to fix it, they can't. All they can do is slightly alleviate the issues. They will still be forever present.
As for the comparison to SWTOR, as it stands, SWTOR is the superior MMO.

I understand they can't fix it completely, but they've acknowledged it and plan to take steps to lessen the impact.
It remains to be seen just how much that impact will be lessened, but it's enough for me to stick around to find out.
You should really read the post and find out what my actual issue with CT's release is, because your post doesn't even address it.I would wager that most mmos that people seem to compare 14 to weren't even considered (by the player) to be complete at launch.
Oh I read your post. My post was to address the more underlying issue at large. As for the specific issue with CT:
The developers adopted a more branching model with this game as opposed to a stair. CT is late, this is true. But CT is not meant to be a replacement for Coil. It is solely an "or". Either CT or BC. Now this is a bit of a problem where we can technically do all of it. If we want. This is a problem because people want to extrinsically be given a reason as to why to do all of their options. "Why should I run CT when BC is better gear?" That type of thinking.
As for your personal issue: You said it yourself. As far as I can understand: You are seeking to limit your energy on becoming a better SMN in a game that is two months old and are frustrated that there is little to do as far as being the best because the highest tier of current options is just BC. So your solution (for the sake of your time and your personal enjoyment) is to wait it out for a higher step to be added for your quest to be the best SMN you can be.
Wierd... Almost everyone in my FC got thier "excitment" stolen from us right after live letter-day. Noting for us to get excited of TBH. To me they dont spend thier hours wisely on the new content. Just take this AK-nerf... Come on... Its a good chunk of hours that could be better spent on NEW content. Well to me thats one of the many signs that they focus on wrong things. Not my first mmo ive seen it in either and we all know where they end up... Sad, since this game have/had so much potential...

where did this retarded way of thinking come from ... is it from all the final fantasy console players that think this is the same??? newsflash for all of you obvious new to mmo players ... MMORPGs ARE ABOUT END GAME GEAR GRINDING GOD/DRAGON RAID KILLING CONTENT
CONSOLE GAMES ARE NOT ABOUT GEAR GRINDING AND ARE ABOUT GREAT STORYLINE CONTENT
Every offense intended, you are the exact type of person I want out of this genre of gaming.where did this retarded way of thinking come from ... is it from all the final fantasy console players that think this is the same??? newsflash for all of you obvious new to mmo players ... Nah, I'm going to go with its your crappy taste in games. I think you'd probably get a kick out of Korean Grinders to be honest. Theyre no-nonsense gear grinding kings.
MMOs pretty much began with the idea of being a large online RPG, complete with compelling story and other elements people came to enjoy from RPGs. This current era of shovel-wear cashgrabs that plague the MMO market are entirely because of people like you who much prefer the lazy, unimaginative babies-first-mmo mindset that makes sure you don't have to work your brains too hard.
