Dragoons viable in WP speed run?

Just wondering if they can run with the usual speed runners. If tank makes some huge pulls,heavy thrust, blood for blood, ring of thorns, internal release, doom spike, dragon fire drive, spam doom spike. After the fourth doom spike enemies are practically dead with other DPS output as well.

Yes. Pretty much viable.

Esp. if the Dragoon is partnered with Bard for TP song.

Not a speed run kind of guy but i've seen a few DRG's burning down the trash in WP pretty damn well.

dragoons are viable, but not optimal.

my dragoon averages ~300 on a doom spike. my slightly better geared black mage averages 320 on a ice 2, and 1150 on a flare (F3, flare, I2 I2 rotation), not counting the single target fire 3 or the dragoon's auto attack that leaves my blackmage roughly 50% ahead. that is considering infinite TP.

Every class is viable when it comes to speed runs it's just depending on comp your times may change to a few minutes extra if it's classes that aren't good at aoe or if gear is an issue. It's not like most people asking for a speed run in shout even know what a true run is. I've been in multiple now where people think you still need to burn adds on the last boss or even that certain packs have to be done by themselves due to the tank being terrible at los, also had some where the tank tells the whm not to use holy. Those are the kinds of runs that make the difference between a 14-17min run as some I've seen and the ones that take 9-11mins that are done with a group that has done it multiple times together.

the runs I get thru is about 15mins with random people,with a dragoon its maybe a min or two more at most compared too me and a blk mage or a bard.
so it comes downtoo how elitist the group is.
but too any normal player it really is not that noticeable.

We don't need it. Partner with a BLM instead for sleep and stronger aoe.

drg is the best aoe melee so yeah they work fine with a blm. Blm brd is the best combo but drg works fine as well same with smn so long as you have a blm to sleep all is well. Mnk is probably the worst at sr with their limited aoe.

if I get Drg or mnk in WP DF , insta quit , gonna be slow run .. drop and craft for 15 mins is better use of time .
