DRG SR WP is work.Though you pretty much need relic player with you.
Best record with me so far with go as drg is 15:54min

WP n Ak is pretty much sametime with 15/17min. So doesnt really matter

as dragoon i already had wp runs with +1 relic/nearly full90 blms and I'd a higher overall dmg + dps

drg is the best aoe melee so yeah they work fine with a blm. Blm brd is the best combo but drg works fine as well same with smn so long as you have a blm to sleep all is well. Mnk is probably the worst at sr with their limited aoe.

You don't even need Sleep for speedruns. So BLMs is not a must.

DRG is the second highest AOE DPS behind BLMs, so yes DRGs are fine at WPSR. However you don't want to replace a BLM, because BLM sleep and AOE limit break are rather useful for the runs. You can do SMN + DRG and hit pretty low times (probably 11m) because Tri-Disaster can be used in place of sleep.

The only reason a BRD + BLM is better than DRG + BLM for WPSR is so the tank can sprint during pulls with mana song. Aside from faster pulling, the DRG + BLM combo straight up does more damage and kills the mobs faster.

I love doing WP speed runs with a DRG. The last couple runs I've done has been with a geared +1 DRG and I am always floored at how fast and smooth we run. DRG, BLM (me), PLD, WHM. 12 min or less. Just fine with me.

DRG are very viable in WP if they know how to manage TP. For a real speed-run (<15mins), you really need that BRD to be singing Paeon.

I have done under 20min WPs with a WAR, DRG (me), SMN and WHM (aren't trying for speed with this comp, however, so we can prob go faster)...with a PAL and BRD its very viable to get under 15. I've even done ~15mins with PAL, 2x DRG and WHM (just remember, we generally don't try for speed unless we have the "ideal" of PAL, BLM, BRD, WHM, so we should be able to go faster)

I can't remember exact damage on my Doom Spikes buffed vs unbuffed (I get shoehorned into healing WP for the most part) but I see ~340s a lot, and think BFB crits go to like 450 or something (again, I'm probably wrong since its been a while). Dragonfire crits for 750 with buffs too, which is not insignificant (now, if only the CD was shorter...)

Uh, DRG + BLM caps at ~8.x minutes. My group usually does ~11-12m with a WAR tank.
