Just don't do it with easily obtained items. Still hurting financially when I thought I'd gimp the bad undercutters on my server, only to have 10x what I bought back up the next morning for half the price I bought them for.

A few days ago me and a BLM friend pug'd a tank and healer for WP. On the first part of the dungeon I don't bother dodging AoEs because the enemies are pretty weak and I'm wearing almost full DL, so they do little to no damage. While fighting the first mob the healer tells me "dodge AoEs or I'm letting you die." Healer was the first person to die, killed by the jelly boss.

Mmm maybe its because I'm War, but on big pulls with pugils and cog oils, I'd be stupid not to dodge aoe's :T Even in my af+helm, chest, gloves, ring, relic, and everything else DL... so... yeah. Your healer could be using that time to holy bomb rather than heal you.
