Rage quitting
Leaving when you tell group you're new
Speed runs only
Need to be extremely over geared in order to get picked up for content
That's the mmo community these days pretty much. All about efficiency for most.
Lol, that sig is both unfortunate and epic at the same time. I remember that boss.Since when are games meant to be productive? You are effectively, sitting in front of a TV/computer, watching pixels move and hitting buttons while you could be doing things productive to your life?
I don't know about you, but I play games to have fun, I see those pixels and take out the pretty pictures in them, the music, the combat, not to fill some requirement.
Alos, the vast majority of people who say they aren't interested in other classes, usually haven't even tried.
Phase 3 I thought I'd hate tanking, tried it near the end, been a Warrior since.
in every game it seems to be getting worse, even when your feeling is 'this game probably won't draw in these people'
I am still baffled they found their way into TSW, a game that was not 'well-known' and quite 'special'.
week in you had people 'demand' their runs filled with gear that dropped in the dungeons they were doing, so they could farm their silly marks for gear that wasn't even in the game at that point (for the raid that wasn't in-game)
ARR is the first game I see people freak out so severely when people don't perform to their standard. I'm already having nightmares how bad the community will be in upcommung games like wildstar or teso (especially when all the 'game sucks' folks are really looking forward to these two games)
Should of seen when I did my first guildhest as a tank. I got raged on so hard because I didn't face the mobs away from the group even though it was done easily with no deaths. It's like dude, it's a level 10-15 guildhest and the first group content available!ARR is the first game I see people freak out so severely when people don't perform to their standard. There's unreasonable efficiency (like want full ilvl 90 gear to do WP) and efficiency just being smart. You can for example try to do crafting skills without doing the triple turn ins with HQ item. That'd take way longer to do it, or you can use the leves and finish in a fraction of the time compared to someone who did not. It's not your fault for knowing the quickest way to level up crafting. It has the side effect of greatly decreasing the amount of 'content' for crafting but that's not the player's problem, and they can legitmately complain that crafting takes too short to level. I'd prefer if crafting took longer too, but I'm not going to purposely gimp myself just to stretch it out longer, so the net conclusion is that crafting content is lacking (due to the existence of triple turn in leves).
lol. I can beat that. I did the very first guildhest as tank (after already having played whm for quite a while in ARR + playing it for years in FFXI) ... what happens? I write in chat that people should give me a minute for my skills to charge (I had just changed class. silly me). nope, the dps wouldn't have it. then the whm just spammed medica, which of course means I get zero mob aggro (mind you, the dps of course pulled both starter groups lol)
dying in the very first guildhest is extremely embarassing, so I politely (and i mean that, I'm usually quite polite in-game) told the whm (why the hell would you do that lvl 10 hest as a WHITE MAGE anyway and not as a conjurer? lol) to please use cure and not medica. what happens? of course I get yelled at for being a crap tank and that I need to use flash.
eh. how exactly am I supposed to use flash as a lvl 10 marauder again? O.o
Could do what some players are and make an alt to do coil 2 times a week
You haven't even made it to level 2 on most of the jobs in the game... really played around with the game huh?I'm one of those people that has 5-6 hours after workdays and weekends to play. I had even more time in college when I didn't have a full-time job. Never, in my life of mmos (and I've played a lot, at least one per year since I was 14 and I'm 27 now), have I ever been so bored of an mmo after 3 months in. I would consider myself more of a hardcore player who plays most games for a year or longer. I don't just enjoy progression but the little things too which I have done in this game. It's unbelievable to me that I'm playing GTA5 after 3 months, instead of a brand-new mmo where I usually warn people they might not see me for awhile.
I have far more time than most people do and I have been playing MMOs for over a decade now so I have been around awhile... somehow I still find stuff to do. In fact I am usually not sure what I want to do because there is so much.
