Does SE not realise their game has no content?

Seriously, I don't really understand how an MMO can release with less content then most single player RPGs. Even if the game was released with the content being brought in 2.1, there's still such a ridiculous lack of time filling activities. Any player with more then 5 hours a week to play this game has pretty much already completed everything it has to offer and they arn't even releasing any harder end game content in the next patch. And yes, we all know about the EXTREME primals. But seriously, 4 more bosses with pretty much the same mechanics? And PVP is being released!!! With a 2.5second GCD and major game delay for anyone that doesn't live in East Canada.

I really do want to WANT to play this game, obviously being a Final Fantasy game I've tried everything to make this game a fun experience for me. But I just don't see any hope.

Perhaps take a break from the game for a little while to wait for new content. The game is only a few months old, so there's not much to it yet.
In a year or so this game should have plenty of things to do.

Agreed, our own character doesn't even talk just nods to everything, while the offline versions make you connect to the character you play and have a massive storyline.

I am so sick of being a mute in almost every game that makes you customize your own character.

I think the only 2 games I can think of that doesn't do this is:

Fire Emblem: Awakening
Guild Wars 2.

May be more but that's all I know right now.

I'm one of those people that has 5-6 hours after workdays and weekends to play. I had even more time in college when I didn't have a full-time job. Never, in my life of mmos (and I've played a lot, at least one per year since I was 14 and I'm 27 now), have I ever been so bored of an mmo after 3 months in. I would consider myself more of a hardcore player who plays most games for a year or longer. I don't just enjoy progression but the little things too which I have done in this game. It's unbelievable to me that I'm playing GTA5 after 3 months, instead of a brand-new mmo where I usually warn people they might not see me for awhile.

I spend well over 5 hours a week on this game, I came into it with two classes already level 50, leveled a 3rd to 50, and I haven't gotten any myth gear or set foot in BC yet. I probably won't until after CT is released and I've had the chance to run it several times.

Blanket statements are never a good idea.

Any player with more then 5 hours a week to play this game has pretty much already completed everything it has to offer for players who only want to play one class and don't consider playing alternate/crafting/gathering classes as 'playing the game'.

it's ok to not like everything from a company. You won't like every MMO out there or every final fantasy game. I'm having a blast. Maybe this game isn't for you? or wait it out until patch 2.2? That's what I did in WoW when I became bored of the status of the game.

You are nowhere NEAR done with this game. You leveled 1 Job class to 50. Didn't you hear? Each class has it's own back story, which is a storyline all on its own! Perhaps if the above picture showed you at all 50's then yes, i'd say you are done, go take a break, go read a book, and wait until 2.1 and 2.2 but you are far from done! Sure you have a WHM all decked out. That's one character. That's one job storyline you have completed. No content...jeez kids these days.

No matter how anyone slices this cake, Any MMO needs time to grow at launch. The people that play MMOs alot should know this. It will grow whether or not 1 person unsubs or that person stays. This is their baby a FF Mainline title, If SE goes down it will be with a FF title. They also have deep pockets, the game will have a lot of content by 1 year after launch.
