Agreed, our own character doesn't even talk just nods to everything, while the offline versions make you connect to the character you play and have a massive storyline.

I am so sick of being a mute in almost every game that makes you customize your own character.
I think the only 2 games I can think of that doesn't do this is:
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Guild Wars 2.
May be more but that's all I know right now.
you know what's freaking funny? I play SWTOR, and over there everyone on the official forum for the longest time kept complaining about the characters talking. in ARR everyone complains there's not enough voiced cutscenes, in TOR people claim it's the cutscenes that 'ruined' the game.
