And I suppose sense these new "Jobs" aren't really anything more than some extra abilities they're not worth the secondary grind.
Then again, if they can make the first not feel like a grind, why would the theoretical secondary, or even a different class be different?
You've given me much to think about.

You've given me much to think about.A better way would be to have you unlock extra job abilities by leveling up the class tied to it, then completing another job quest for that ability. It feels more immersive and makes it so you did more than just grind for some cool (hopefully) new skills.

Well now that you explain it like that, I think I'm a little more open to the idea.Because people quickly recognize a second grindA better way would be to have you unlock extra job abilities by leveling up the class tied to it, then completing another job quest for that ability. I still think we need long term goals, however.

Grind has never bothered me, in spite of being low leveled in most RPGs I play. But I should take into account the tastes of others. I am aware that most people don't like having to fight for ages to get stronger, but that just seems like a natural way of progression to me.
Well 'grinding' isn't the only variable in earning something. They mentioned questing was involved to unlock jobs after pre-reqs(rank level) were achieved. So that 'quest' could also be considered into 'earning' something as well.
It might be a simple go to x and retrieve y scenario or somthing complex or time consuming (kill 1k mobs with a damn weap -.- gay drk).
Frankly can only speculate at this point but I'm completely against the idea of grinding another 50 levels to unlock a few abilities / role specialization. And honestly surprised some people have been trying to advocate and justify another grind.
I think I'm just afraid the job quests will be too short and easy. Months of development for a 20 minute segment that can barely be called a challenge. A new grind would mean more time and effort would need to be applied. Like I said, I personally don't have a problem with it, but I get how it annoys and bores others.
