True story:

3am PST me and 2 other FC members are queued up for WP/AK which ever pops first. We are Drg Smn Sch.

10-15 min goes by then we get a pop then almost as quickly as the accept window appeared it notified us that the join player (the tank) had withdrawn.

It re-queues us, about5 seconds later DF pops, tank withdraws. then DF pops, Tank withdraws. the next few minutes looks like this:

AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws
AK instance ready; Player (Tank) Withdraws

That's 15 times in a row that a Tank queued up and withdrawn so they could get a FULL reward for minimal effort.

I hope SE does the right thing and enforces a cooldown on join after subsequent withdraws.

Or better, and over all more fair to everyone, reward players based on dungeon participation.

If you did a full clear you get full rewards.

If you join 1/2 way through you get 50% of the max reward.

Join on the last boss, get 20% of the max reward.

It's comparable to a single primal fight. Garuda takes ~7-12 min to kill (depending on grp) and you get 10 tomes as a reward.

Kill final boss in WP get rewarded 6 tomes. (20%)

Kill final boss in AK get rewarded 8 tomes. (20%)

similar effort <-> similar rewards.
