    You assume much about how a game engine works. You are also wrong on every point. Animations, effects, textures, damage modifiers; these are all things that game engines are designed to easily implement and remove. You clearly are just white knighting with nothing to go on here, but /thumbsup for trying.

    Interesting, you are doing the same on the other side. Please, (don't) elaborate further since you seem to be the developer of "the one game engine".

    I have no clue on how you can be so sure that the absolutely same paradigms are being being applied verbatim in ARR's engine. ...Are you a Squeeny dev in a mundane account?

    That surely means we can direct the complaints at you, eh?

    Not doing the opposite, I've worked with several engines and being able to make changes like these is a pretty paramount necessity, especially for a game type that needs to have things added and be patched on a weekly basis (like an MMO.) If anything, it would be easier to make those changes in this game than any other type, but SE is holding out because they want 2.1 to be huge.

    But did you work with ARR's engine development? Do you know their specific paradigms?

    Can you enlighten us with some insights about ARR's engine and Luminous Engine's similarities, since they share developers and possibly even some hunches of code? Are you comfortable with explaining CODEWISE how the animation framework (ARR's one, not the "several OTHER engines" you claim to have worked with!) deals with things?

    Are you at least aware that we are talking about a proprietary engine specificly tailored for FFXIV-ARR?

    And if you notice in detail how the game behaves, chances are on his statement being near the truth.

    I like how you completely disregarded my point. Keep being a white knight for SE, maybe one day they'll reward you with an unambiguous pre patch note, or perhaps a trimmer for that mustache.

    Why don't you all apply for Development positions at SquareEnix? You all seem to know every inner working of their company and how things should be. Then you can enact change instead of whining for something we're getting soon enough.

    Oh, I forgot...if you Google enough things you're an expert. Armchair programmer positions wanted! Impatience and overbearing opinions a must!
