That wouldn't be a bad system but I bet a lot of people are going to complain that they can't freely change their looks every time unless they kept buying or farming for the same vanity items.
That assumes the vanity items even can be bought or farmed. If it's a unique item like a quest reward from a one-time-only quest, or something from a limited-time event, there's no getting more to combine with the next gear you want to use for the stats portion of the meld.

Dev team said themselves they don't want to see mages wearing plate armor. I believe vanity is a good thing, but to say it doesn't need set rules for it is even sillier.
I agree with keeping the limitations that are already part of the gear (like no plate armour for mages), but there's no reason for adding an additional "no seasonal gear" rule. If it were just the halloween costumes I wouldn't really mind, but sometimes seasonal gear can be nice looking stuff. I'm planning on getting the Lightning set specifically for use as a cosmetic, so it better be usable by the cosmetic system.

Paying cash for extras is how free-to-play games work. We pay a subscription here in order for all those extras to be in the game itself. If they're going to start charging for cosmetics, then they'd need to stop all subscription payments, as none of us should have to pay twice for the same thing.

But if you missed said event due to personal reasons or whatever, then you're not technically paying twice. You're paying once to make up for the fact that you couldn't nab it when it was being handed out as a seasonal event item. I think that's very reasonable as some of us(especially those of us not in school) tend to get exceptionally busy around certain holidays.

I would pay for vanity gear that could be worn over my functional, regardless of subscription fees because having a character I enjoy looking at is half the fun. I'm already bummed at the realization that I'm going to look like every other lvl 50 caster wearing Vanya(a set I love but is way overused because it's just so good).

Hope this doesn't just get lost in the thread, but could you remove the intro leve quests for each area, or better yet make a small change to them so anyone with the minimum level be it disciple of war/magic/hand/land could do them. If you look at my classes/jobs I don't exactly have anything near level 30+ to do the intro leve's required to unlock the higher leve quests for crafting/gathering. I went to costa del sol for lvl 30 crafting/gathering leves and I'm locked out at that point, I don't mind some mindless farming and spam crafting but leves do help break up the mindlessness.

Please give all of the disciples of magic classes/jobs the spell mana pool thats a instant cast with a recast of 1 minute and is about 5ylms wide, mana pool is a mp regeneration spell that all allies can use by walking/running on top of it and the longer you stand on it the more it restores.

    Please give us more mounts.

    Greetings, everyone!

I have a couple of comments from Hiroshi Minagawa to share with you all regarding various topics.
    • Gamepad controls

We’ll be implementing this exact control method and feature in patch 2.1!
    • Dungeon-related

We are planning to implement a “ready check” feature. We’ve already finalized the specifications and the implementation schedule, but as this is part of a feature group that is comparatively lower in priority, this will be addressed after patch 2.2.
    • Effect filters

We’ve made adjustments so there is a visual effects column under the battle effects settings for “own” in the character tab found within the character config.

The below effects were added to “own” group:
      • Pets
      • Companions
      • Minions
      • Mounts
      • Objects you are controlling (cannons, magitek armor, etc.)

We will be making this fix in patch 2.1.

    HUD Layout and Duty List

This is actually driving me a bit nuts. So I'm trying to settle with a HUD Layout that I like, but the wildcard is always the Duty List. Here's the problem...

-When you enter a FATE, the information pushes everything else on the Duty List down.
-When you enter an instance/dungeon, the information is *stacked* on top of the current Duty List and leaves everything the way it is.

This means that if I put the Duty List on the bottom of my screen, the list will be cut off when I enter a FATE. But if I put the Duty List on the top of the screen, dungeon information will be cut off at the top when it stacks.

Can you please homogenize how the Duty List is expanded and allow a toggle between the two directions?

I don't have this behavior, it consistently expands towards the bottom. What I'd like to see is an intelligent behavior for ALL windows. So that putting a window in a corner makes it expand in the opposite direction. For example, party list looks weird when positioned on the right side of the screen (to me). Imho it should mirror the position of the buffs/icons in that case. Toggle is a good idea.

What I don't like about the HUD layout is all the windows that we don't get to position at all.

When we finish a FATE, the results show up in the center of the screen. When we level up, that notice shows up in the center of the screen. When we learn a new skill, that shows up in the center of the screen. When a new tutorial message is available, that notice (not the tutorial window itself, but the green question mark notice that it's available) shows up in the center of the screen. (And I think there's a few more, but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment.)

And since finishing a FATE can trigger all of those to happen at once, they obscure each other, so we can't see what's happening. (Well, I could see "LEVEL UP" because it's bigger than the others, and I could see the notice that a tutorial is available because it's on top of all the others and stays there until you agree to open the tutorial, but their presence hides both the FATE results and the notice of getting a new skill.) And we cannot move any of these. The center of the screen is the absolute worst place for anything to pop up, anyway, as that's where we're watching our character and the action around him, but it seems to be the mandatory position for all the items we can't control.

Battle sound effect toggle by group (self, party, others)

For people like me who enjoy playing the game with the sound on most of the time (especially for special occasions like the lightning event) it would be nice if we had more sound filtering options. Currently, if you're doing a FATE with tons of people, listening to the sounds of everyone's skills going off at once is very loud and obnoxious. I'm aware that I can simply turn off sound effects, but then MY IMMERSION (lol) is ruined because I can't hear my own sound effects! Since we already have the option to turn off battle effects for others, why not just automatically turn of sound effects for those people as well? Since we're not seeing them, I highly doubt anyone needs to hear them.
