Sounds like nothing that an adjustment to drop rate and items that could be made avail in mogstation couldn't fixIf it was just crafters it would be acceptable, however we have the RNG for some gear (to give you an example, I had never seen the DL heavy shield drop in WP until yesterday... and I had done like a lot of runs, as I skipped completely the CM/Prae spamfest back in the day) and we even have some items that are obtainable just once and that would be either not in the vanity system or would be lost forever if transmuted.

mogstation, so on top of subscription we pay, we're going to pay for items just for looks? I guess if you want to pay up more cash... doesn't make sense to me though.

I believe vanity items and housing stuff being sold thro mogstation is already in the works, none of it is necessary for players to buy, just extras.

No. Just no, please. One of the reasons I play here is because it's a P2P game that doesn't has that kind of cheap stuff. If I support the game with my sub, I expect that the whole game is there for me to play and enjoy without having to resort to buy "extras" (*ahem*) in the Mogstation. Server transfers, name changes and, at most, Phials of Fantasia are all ok to be sold there, but nothing else.

I don't know that much about Vanity systems, but I loved the way DC Universe Online handled it.

The thing I'd probably like the most would be if you could turn Spiritbound gear into a special kind of key item (which would consume the item just like you do when you turn it into materia) that you could then add and select to a drop down menu on the side of the visible types of armor in the character menu.
Weapons, headgear, body, hands, legs and feet.
If the item is non-convertible you could just get a "token" without actually using up your item.

Emphasis mine, but excuse me? Are you seriously trying to suggest Squeenix sell outfits in a cash shop? No. A thousand times no. This is a pay-to-play MMO.
We should have a wardrobe system that is worthy of a pay-to-play MMO.

Vanity items in a cash shop? That's F2P realm, and if SE ever decided to implement that I'd be out of here before you could say Archeage&BlackDesert.
I do hope it's not transmutation, that would be silly. I want separate slots I can change on demand, not transmutation. Imagine having to farm turn5 in case you want to get an item back for transmutation down the line. Good luck with the lockouts.

Indeed. Transmutation, re-skinning, whatever you want to call it - it is a bad way to design a vanity system. Why a game would want to go with such a subpar system (especially for a P2P MMO) when there's already excellent designs out there is beyond me.
Could you make retainers available between characters on the same account? If I am to play multiple characters, I want to send items/gil to them. And this sounds like a suitable solution to keeping RMT accounts restricted while catering to player needs.
I have a retainer that says I'm her favorite customer, which I assume she has other clients. For story sake, a retainer services all my characters, and we sign a waiver to share our spoils under the same retainer.
