Fishing needs more value

The ease of which fishing would be to bot instantly says that this will never happen. Working as intended, do other gathering stuff. Fishing will not be more than it is now.

That about sum it up? The risk of something being botted should not affect the gameplay, nor should it dictate the way something is played. BTN and MNRs can be as easily botted, and they collect important materials. Why weren't there as neutered as we were? As it is, the current mechanics punish the players, not the bots.

In 1.0 we were useful. Fish became shards and crystals, dark matter could be fished up, and more fish did more things. We've been neutered, and we're to just suck it up because, "Oh no, bots might do bad stuff!"? In case you haven't been playing recently, bots are already doing bad stuff. I think the possibility of a bunch of bots making shards is far outweighed by people actively hacking logged in accounts to steal millions of gil.

The simple fact is Yoshi and his crew were and are still being lazy with this class. We were more in 1.0. We were more in XI. Now we're nothing. This class absolutely needs more value, because right now everything about it screams lazy.

Like it or not, what it was it is no longer and isn't likely to ever be again. It is exactly as they described it would be in 2.0 and they've said on more than one occasion that it's precisely how it's suppose to work. This is a take it or leave it sort of situation I fear, so yes. Suck it up or let it lie.
