I am quitting all rdy. playing for 2 weeks and board out of my mind. Its the same thing over and over and over... PvP is not in the game yet.. I am not sure how long this will take.. I refuse to pay a monthly sub for PvE .

Yoshida is a pvper himself and seems to have high hopes for pvp. Why does everyone discount these factors when talking about pvp and pvpers? Granted the op wasnt great but just because we like to kill players instead of scripted monsters doesnt make us lesser players. Just because this is FF doesnt mean pvp will be bad.

Im personally looking forward to PvP and while I do pve content as well, I think both ways are going to be good ways to enjoy this game. Op is wrong in thinking PvP is the only way to play but you guys are also wrong to say pvp will be bad before its even released.

Not expecting much from PvP. I expected too much from PvE and was let down. So, it's better to keep the hype low so I don't get disappointed again.

I expect to have fun in PvP as I usually do. Will it be super competitive? Thats anyones guess, based on how the game plays its possible it could be or could not be. I saw the trailer and the thought of having limit breaks in pvp feels weird but I hold my judgments till I actually experience it first hand.

PvP at least give ya a goal to work toward. It gives ya something to do.. Your PvE ends. I mean you spend all your time getting the best equips and crafting for what ?? So you can sit and wait for an expansion giving you more PvE content ... ?

Your logic fails as both have the same end goals just different mechanics between them. Where the biggest difference between them is PvE you work together as a team to do stuff. Where PvP you run around "Master Chief" everything.

Personally I find PvP very lackluster and it grows rather boring quickly. But hey that's just my opinion, you don't have to take my word for it. *queues Reading Rainbow jingle*

Rynault youre right on the money except the teamwork aspect.

Having a good team and using teamwork is how you do really well in PvP. Being rambo and trying to do everything yourself is a quick way to lose outside of 1v1 matches. Also its okay to not like pvp or pve. Thats usually why games have both systems, its just hard to find games where they pay enough attention to both or balance them both well.

Yeah, I tend to joke around as I see so many people run around solo during PvP. I typically have the most fun(and fair better during the fights) when working together with friends or other people. They both have the same end goals and mechanics truly, both have their own difficulties respectively.

Haha Yeah thats pretty true. I always feel like people who go pure pve or pvp just straight miss out on half the game because they get upset trying to play one too much like the other and then say their preferred play is the only good one. I think pvp and pve are both amazing with friends to play with win or lose.

2.1 brings upgrades to duty finder. in Random dungeon finder, If I as a tank queue up I will get thrown into any dungeon that needs people, and get rewarded for it.
You're playing a DPS in a game short on Tank and Healer, where you can and are encouraged to play all classes.

SE has always put out great story.
PVP in FFXI was trash.

PVP in every MMO I've played was basically trash. It's all about who has better gear. And currectly your 30, and honestly wouldn't be fun for you get eaten alive with everyone in there Dark light and better.

If I want to PVP it can't be about gear but pure skill.
And in MMOs it's about gear vs skill.

Also I am a firm believer that PVP is going to be a ghost town in 6 months.
