I actually did leave the game, within the first week actually. I almost threw my copy in the trash. But I was a die hard FFXI fan, and I wanted to love FFXIV. Since the game became f2p I stuck with it. When they start the subs up, I will most likely quit if the fatigue system is still in place.
And you completely miss the point of my argument. Stop being a dumbass and try to comprehend something for once kay? Not everyone wants to play the same way. The point of this system was to give freedom to the players. But that freedom was removed as soon as the fatigue system was put into play. Now players are being punished for playing how they want to play. It shouldnt ever be that way.
I don't want to play some other MMO. I want to enjoy FFXIV. But without criticism this game will NEVER improve. Rolling over and taking it up the ass like some stupid fanboy is how games get worse.
Stop trolling or next we will see a thread asking the Devs to develop a moderator to kick people like you off the boards.
Horizontal leveling is a joke.
I would love to be able to cross-class skills. But as it stands, there is little to no reason to do so. Even if there was, eventually everyone would have all jobs maxed, and everyone would be playing with the same min/maxed setup. Sort of like how everyone and their grandmother played with /nin in FFXI.
The fatigue system is a time sink. I'm sure everyone has seen the video?

It sounds alright, except that there is no reason to cross-class skills, (there are very few exceptions, and most of them occur before level 16). Every job lacks definition, and cross classing them only makes it worse.
Regardless, the fatigue system isn't beneficial in any way, shape, or form - whatsoever.
The simple fact is that SE has built an invisible wall that cannot be torn down, powered through, sidestepped, or out-witted. The game literally tells us when to stop playing. Considering the stat system is decidedly bugged, I can only play DoM classes without reseting my useless stats, and becoming moderate in both DoW and DoM, instead of optimal in either. That being said, I tend to only level Thaumaturge and Conjurer. As soon as I see fatigue, I log off. I'm done dealing with it.
SE will have to get rid of this "innovative feature" before they charge me for a subscription. I'm not going to pay monthly to play a game that tells me to only play it a few hours a week. If they expect me to pay for time, I want my money's worth.
That doesn't even begin to cover the ethical issues of making the game worse for the players that actually want to play the game. I honestly don't feel that a player who only plays for an hour or two on the weekends should make as much progress. It completely takes the incentive out of playing the game.
Sorry SE, but this has to go.
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
If you don't want to pay to play a game that has such a "Horrible feature" Then don't. They don't expect you to play with conditions. There are plenty of MMOs out there that cater to people like you. SE isn't your girlfriend, you can't just make demands for them to change before you go out with them.Horizontal leveling is a joke.

There are Many more useful skills at higher ranks. Such as higher skill tiers so you waste less Stamina casting the crappy version. >_> As well as status cures.
Fatigue makes the game worse for the people who want to play this game? The people who actually Like this game are the people who know what fatigue is and who like leveling horizontally.

I think the current system is working.
I like the game. Doesnt mean I have to agree with a system that prevents me to play how I want to play. All you people talk about how fatigue is good because it makes people level multiple classes. Did you ever consider the fact that players leveling one class and only having that class skills is enough of a balance/incentive in the game to level multiple classes? If you don't want to pay to play a game that has such a "Horrible feature" Then don't. Fatigue was put into place to prevent people from reach cap to quickly to hide the fact that there was no content, plain and simple. I don't need a stupid fatigue system punishing me and forcing me to play another class. The incentive of getting better skills/combos from leveling other classes is more than enough incentive. Fatigue is stupid, and I can't understand why people are defending it.
The Fanbois is strong in this thread.
Who would've thought symbiosis as a means of suicide...

Masochistic, aren't you? If it is such a game breaking issue then go play another MMO that was designed with your play style in mind. Get out of the abusive relationship while you can, Sir Masochist.
The same goes for the majority of this thread too. -_- It's like you enjoy taking the punishment just so you have a reason to complain about how it was designed.

This feature is not fully implemented. Chill out until PS3 release. I GUARANTEE this was not implemented to hide the fact there was no content. This was developed as a core aspect of the gameplay and there is going to be MUCH more to it than just slowing down your leveling progression. The points that are penalized with be grouped towards earning you something. I don't know how many times I've posted this but stubborn people refuse to believe what they don't want to.
