So you're saying, its ok for them to ignore a large group of players/potential players because they will buy your stuff regardless? That is a pretty disrespectful sentiment although you are likely right about it. One would hope though that SE respects and cares about its ffxi fans.

So you're saying that because they didn't make this game an HD remake of FFXI they're ignoring and disrespecting everyone that played FFXI? See how ridiculous that sounds?

Why do things so often get put into one extreme or another?

They didn't ignore or disrespect FFXI players at all. Look at the races we play as. Look at the crabs, mandragoras, goblins, pugils, and more that we fight against. FFXI can be seen and heard all over this game.
