It is a bit early to say that, I mean they said the same thing about SWTOR which had a very strong launch. Then, three months down the road the decline picked up. Five months in the game was no longer considered workable in the subscription model by publisher EA.I'll just leave this here.

This game alone has caused SE to go from a projected net income loss of $13 million to a $26 million profit this fiscal year. It's done this in less than two months.
When it comes to core design, whatever Yoshi-P has planned for this game does not need to change one bit. As part of the FFXI player base, he's already made me plenty happy with this game.
