so in other words, ps3 dragging the game down confirmed
Unfortunately it looks like this comment was meant to ease our minds, but it's not really clear if they are responding to the thread or just telling us stuff. The way it's worded though, I would assume he thinks this thread is saying the PS3 version sucks by comparison to the PC version, so he's saying that they are going to upgrade the PS3 UI to be as close to the PC version as possible... which misses the point of this thread I think.
People want to know if the PS3 version is holding the PC version back. I hope they try to understand better and provide a clear answer so this debate will end.
+1
PS3 ruins the concept of an open world and seas, as a pc player seems like we are playing a consolized and casualized mmo ( theorycrafting useless at endgame), we demand separate servers like diablo 3 did , impossible to see grow up the game in futures expansion with that limitations
Who is this "we"? The vocalized butthurt minority?+1

You do realize that none of those are due to a limitation because of the console counterpart.
They already noted texture resolutions were more of an issue due to Direct X 9 limitations, which would be addressed with the addition of the direct x 11 client.
Whats wrong with the character creator? Do we really need sliders for everything? Honestly I would rather not have it, the color options and predefined styles are more than enough to uniquely define everybody.
Last I recall instancing is a very common thing in mmo's these days, which also helps eliminating competition for progress i.e fully camped spots like in XI.
The only thing I could agree with here is the inventory layout, but I wouldn't go as far to say its the console versions fault, that is just a flawed design in general.
The answer is YES!
You don't need a Dev to tell you that. Just look at the graphics in comparison. It's astonishingly different.
But you have to weight the pros and cons. Do you cut out the consoles just because it's "holding the PC version back"? But then you have to deal with less people playing the game. Would empty zones be more appealing to everyone? I went through SWTOR when that happened, it wasn't fun.
People have this problem of having narrow vision, focusing on one problem, and one solution. It's never that easy.
"You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means."
I'm pretty sure they're just saying that the PS3 holds the PS3 version back. Nowhere does any dev say that the PC version was gimped because of PS3. If the PS4 is confirmed to be the equivalent of PC on High Settings then that would mean the current PC version is more or less a next-gen title.
That butthurt minority are pc gamers, more demandings but in my case this ps3 limitation are not only for graphics or inventory size, problem here is the design of new content according to the ps3 because consoles refuse to eliminate instances and don't expect to put effort on sandbox concepts , that's why we'll see instanced arenas, more HM dungeons with recycleds models and mobs ;more ppl cap on fate primals to the detriment of exploration (swimming, climbing...etc)
The winner!
The most hilarious argument I see ever is trying to exclude a large portion of the population from the game for...hair sliders, sorting inventory, and maybe a slightly improved UI. Yeesh. And that's even if it were true the PS3 were the cause of those design decisions, which is a suspect idea at best.
